[Nahida Cosplay] Genshin Impact Dendro Archon Nahida's Sumeru forest trip

This shooting plan was to head to an outdoor real-world location to restore the scenes of the Sumeru region in Genshin Impact. To fit the character Nahida, thorough preparations were made from makeup and styling to props. To present the best visual effect, this time we chose to shoot in a sunny afternoon. To perfectly restore Nahida's makeup, I chose pinkish contact lenses and did a detailed red smudging around the eyes, trying to show the character's liveliness and softness. The wig is also specially groomed silver-white long straight hair, with a light green gradient treatment at the hair ends, especially the blunt bangs part, which took quite a lot of time to repeatedly adjust the fluffiness using a hair straightener.

In terms of clothing, the main body is a white short dress, with a high collar design at the neckline paired with black-and-gold edges, plus green patterns on the chest and skirt hem. Every detail tries to fit the original design as much as possible. Because the skirt hem is relatively short and in an irregular leaf shape, protective anti-glare shorts were worn underneath. At the same time, extra attention had to be paid to posture when walking and sitting down, trying to maintain the natural draping feel of the skirt. The green-and-gold colored arm sleeves and bracelets on the arms were also meticulously worn. Since the leg guards and shoes on the feet have a hollow design, it took some effort to adjust the tightness when wearing them. To ensure a natural feel during shooting, I chose to go barefoot, stepping on the grass gives a very magical touch.

In action design, to reflect Nahida's liveliness and natural aura as the Dendro Archon, I tried several different postures. For example, sitting cross-legged on the grass with eyes closed casting spells, fingers spread out, imagining elemental energy gathering around; or raising one leg slightly in the woods, holding up a large lotus leaf prop to block the sunlight. Of course, there were also pictures of sitting on the lawn with arms wide open, or standing on stone steps holding a lotus leaf and smiling back. The surrounding dense greenery and dappled tree shadows, coupled with natural sunlight spilling over the white skirt hem, greatly enhanced the atmospheric sense of this set of photos.

Shooting outdoors is actually much harder than studio shooting. Outdoors, there are not only mosquitoes and bugs, but direct sunlight also easily causes makeup to melt, requiring touch-ups and state adjustments at any time. Moreover, walking barefoot on the grass, the grass blades can prick the feet, but for the overall unity of the frame, all of this was persisted through. Every interpretation of a character is hoping to break the dimensional wall, making this character not just stay on a flat plane, but vividly appear in front of everyone's eyes. The character Nahida has her own wisdom and gentleness, and during the shooting process, I was also trying hard to feel the peaceful state of her inner heart. The tree shadows and natural light of the outdoor scene are the best filters; without too much modification, they can present a very vivid picture. This shooting experience was very pleasant and gave me a deeper understanding of the character.
