The photos for this JK version of Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) are finally finished, playing on a stark contrast aesthetic rooted in her Fate/Grand Order persona. Extensive thought went into the styling details before the shoot. The wig was a short silver-white cut with finely thinned ends for natural layering. The mask featured a glossy black finish perfectly fitting Jeanne Alter's dark, ruthless vibe, resting just above the brow line to give the eyes intense depth. The makeup paired yellow-green contacts with fair porcelain foundation and crimson lips to evoke an uncanny doll-like presence. The custom black dark sailor uniform featured white collar striping and a red necktie, delivering a powerful black-white-red contrast against the white studio backdrop. Its tailored, fitted waist cleanly outlined body contours during standing and profile poses.
We prepared engaging props: the white skull in hand introduced an eerie, refined contrast against the schoolgirl uniform, while red spider lilies paired with over-the-shoulder turns channeled a decaying, tragic beauty. While this is an OOC apology concept not seen in canon, blending her cold, resolute disposition with a high school uniform was the core motivation behind this creation. Working closely with the photographer to keep the subject centered, we selected a frontal shot leaning slightly forward with a fingertip against the lips for the cover, creating captivating visual tension with a direct gaze. Post-processing preserved translucent skin while bumping contrast to deepen the black sailor uniform against the crisp white background. Reconstructing a character's essence through everyday attire made this creative cosplay shoot deeply fulfilling.
