From the Beitian Yanzong season until now, time has really flown by so fast. Digging out this set of photos taken last year and looking at myself in the pictures, a feeling of another lifetime washes over me. I remember when I had just transferred to the medicine sect, spending my days searching the entire map for herbs and studying pharmaceutical manuals; it was truly the happiest season since I started playing JX3. In the blink of an eye, four or five years have slipped away quietly, leaving me quite emotional.
When posting, I saw a senior fellow disciple calling me a "silly roe deer" in the comments. I was stunned for quite a while before realizing that it was probably because of this small woven bamboo basket I'm holding and the bundle of green plants I'm hugging. This prop perfectly fits the vibe of the medicine sect in the game setting. Hugging it and running around in the studio, seeing all this lush greenery made me feel like I truly returned to that sect where vegetation grows. However, knowing that it's an affectionate nickname, I can only thick-skinnedly accept this cute moniker.
This set of work truly blends all our hard work into it. The makeup, hair, studio shooting, and post-processing were all single-handedly handled by Lao Xi from our team. I have to say, for the one-stop costume, makeup, and props of JX3, you can't go wrong with Lao Xi. He really knows how to shoot this kind of national style xianxia setting with both a sense of storytelling and immense tension. This Beitian Yanzong Loli Cosplay look features an incredible amount of clothing details. The green, blue, and white three-color chiffon skirt is not only light and flowing but also beautifully complements the skin tone. The wavy edges, red accents, and the collar with silver components and a cyan gemstone on the neck, as well as the red string and wooden bead bracelets on the wrists, are all exquisitely made with details pushed to the maximum.
The wig styling also required a lot of thought. The long black hair paired with bangs and side braids, along with this spring-vibe yellow-green wreath and white pom-pom bows, looks a bit playful while carrying a gentle and healing feel unique to the medicine sect. On the day of the shoot, Lao Xi was particularly good at catching light; the light and shadow in the indoor studio were truly mastered by him, casting beams of warm yellow light onto the props and skirt hem, maximizing the atmosphere. Especially in the sitting photo, the light scattered on the semi-translucent white tulle sleeves, and combined with the light and shadow on the steps, I was completely immersed in this character.
As an old player, being able to materialize a beloved setting in reality is inherently a matter full of a sense of ritual. Every time I put on this outfit, take out this small woven basket, and put the green plants inside, I feel like I truly possess a tiny bit of the mission to "heal the world." This is not just about taking a few nice-looking photos, but a freeze-frame and commemoration of my once happy gaming days.
Although the game versions of JX3 are constantly updating and changing, and the character system is also evolving, no matter how many years pass, as soon as I see this cyan-colored dress, my DNA as a "Medicine Loli" will instantly kick in. This costume, makeup, and prop shooting experience, as well as the tacit understanding with the studio, can truly be given a perfect score. I hope everyone can also feel the fragrance of grass and leaves from Beitian Yanzong and that leisure and coziness exclusive to this sect through this set of photos.
