The location photos for this Zenless Zone Zero Yidhari set have finally been organized. Both the preliminary preparation and the shooting process were quite thrilling, and I wanted to share them with everyone directly. This was actually my first time shooting at the Ten Drum magical scene; when I came here for other characters before, it was still under renovation, and we only managed to shoot at the dome cafe, and even had to rush with the photographer to the Ciaotou Sugar Refinery just to get more photos. This time, we could finally make full use of every corner of Ten Drum. The retro industrial style and fantasy feel of the scene match Yidhari's temperament exceptionally well.
For cosplaying Yidhari, the props and materials truly took up a major part. The leather shorts and glossy gloves of the outfit reflected light very noticeably under strong light, giving it an absolute top-tier texture. The spherical device at the bottom of the long-handled staff in my hand is actually quite heavy, and paired with the huge purple-and-white tail cloak behind me, maintaining a light posture in front of the camera required keeping my core constantly engaged, otherwise it would easily look bulky. The glossy material of the tail, paired with neon lights in low-light environments, photographs exceptionally well, giving a streamlined mechanical aesthetic.
During the shoot, we tried several different light and shadow styles. In that blue-purple-toned cyberpunk scene, once the red glowing prop at the waist in the fourth photo was turned on, the cyber feel was instantly maxed out. To match this slightly sexy yet domineering setup, I intentionally paired it with semi-sheer black stockings and platform high heels. Although walking in them for long periods can be a bit tiring, the effect of elongating the leg lines was superb, and the strap details at the thighs added to the overall layering. When transitioning to the window front with natural light and vintage wooden bookshelves, the sunlight shone through the cloak behind me, presenting a completely different, serene feeling like a brief rest during hollow exploration. This heavily tests sensitivity to the camera.
When wearing blue contact lenses for close-ups, catchlights are extremely important, requiring constant subtle adjustments to the line of sight based on the photographer's lighting angles. With such complex sleeve structures and a long-handled weapon, while posing, one must constantly mind the wrist angles and shoulder extensions; even a slight stiffness would ruin the character's aesthetic. Poses featuring the black stockings and boots have quite high physical demands, especially single-leg standing actions, so everyone can practice lower body strength more in daily life. The light and shadows at Ten Drum are truly gorgeous, and thanks to the photographers for accompanying me carrying props up and down, capturing many satisfying shots.
