From the moment this shoot was greenlit, we researched extensively on how to best portray Lady Miyabi's new attire. Unboxing the outfit revealed it was far weightier than anticipated—especially the expansive black sleeve drapes and the structured obi sash, constructed with remarkably solid textile heft.

For hair and makeup, straight raven bangs paired with vivid crimson contacts, focusing on an eye look that balanced aloof detachment with sharp edge. The prominent ears of the Animal-eared girl required precise angled pinning to avoid looking top-heavy. To embody her serene yet lethal precision, eyeliner wings were subtly upturned to catch soft facial fill lights on camera.

Two primary frames explore contrasting states: the first features an upright stance wielding the katana. With the blade's genuine heft and layered fabric constraints, engaging core and lower-back muscles was essential to ensure natural garment folds while keeping the blade level. It took considerable endurance that left my waist sore, but the commanding presence in the final shot made it worthwhile. The second frame shifted mood—delicately holding a ginkgo leaf before post-production fluttering foliage to embrace gentle poetry, keeping relaxed fingers and a distant gaze opposite the blade's sharpness. Studio lighting carefully sculpted the black, white, and gold tiers, using reflectors to accentuate shoulder cutouts, ruffled trims, and cinched waistlines. Despite stumbling over trailing sleeves between takes, realizing this Zenless Zone Zero Japanese-style outfit was a fulfilling milestone.
