Slipping into this Zenless Zone Zero KFC collaboration outfit for Sunna genuinely gave me that wonderful feeling of instantly switching into everyday campus life. The white cartoon-printed crop top paired with black athletic shorts, complemented by signature mint-green twin tails and black-and-white plush cat ears, accurately captured all the character's iconic elements. To match her lively personality, we deliberately chose a school classroom as our shooting location, where wooden desks, chairs, and geometric chalkboard doodles beautifully accentuated that vibrant anime campus vibe.
A key focal point of this shoot was the combination of the White silk thigh garter styling. Under ample natural light and studio fill light, the white over-the-knee socks displayed a silky smooth texture that visually elongated the leg proportions. The light blue thigh ring adorned with a tiny heart pattern on the left thigh served not only as a charming accent, but also injected a touch of playful girlish charm into the sporty aesthetic. Red shoulder suspenders connected to delicate decorations at the back, adding depth to the otherwise minimalist crop top. The bell choker at the collar occasionally jingled with each movement; this subtle auditory touch made it even easier to immerse oneself in that energetic classroom atmosphere.
The volleyballs scattered around the scene made wonderful interactive props for our Volleyball photo shoot. The classic yellow-and-blue palette, along with pastel-pink volleyballs, brought vivid splashes of color to the cooler classroom tones. The photographer ingeniously utilized them as foreground elements—such as sitting inside a metal cart filled with volleyballs, or resting against a ball on the gray gym mat—ensuring the compositions never felt monotonous. I had immense fun during the shoot: resting on the desk with hands propping up my cheeks while stretching my legs underneath, I readjusted my foot positioning multiple times to maintain clean leg lines and fluid poise, successfully locking in that languid yet subtly mischievous demeanor.
As a cosplayer, attention to detail is paramount when achieving character fidelity. Beyond obvious elements like the white fuzz on the hair strands and hat structure, prop selection must also resonate with the character's original lore. Beyond expansive classroom scenes, we focused on capturing half-body close-ups; a glance back over the shoulder paired with a slightly daydreamy gaze evoked the airy translucency of a lazy after-school afternoon. The gentle Classroom light and shadow yielded fantastic raw shots, delivering a breezy, lightweight visual aesthetic without heavy post-processing.
Creating this Sunna cosplay photo set was also about preserving the effortless relaxation intrinsic to the character. Whenever shooting on-location or in a studio, I always contemplate how to express character nuances through my personal lens. Sunna naturally carries the approachable charm of a girl next door, so we avoided overly stiff or contrived posing in favor of candid, lived-in moments. Though running through the entire set took plenty of physical stamina, seeing these frames come together made every preparation and fine adjustment worthwhile. Embedding anime character styling into everyday reality is truly a delightful journey of breaking the fourth wall.
