Putting on this yellow sportswear outfit of Eleg from Goddess of Victory: Nikke, stepping into a sports room filled with equipment, and picking up that blue-and-yellow volleyball, I felt fully immersed in the character's state. This short-cut T-shirt design with a white base and yellow sleeves is very recognizable, and the black cat paw print pattern on the chest looks extremely playful and cute against the garment, paired with yellow sports shorts, making the overall color tone very vibrant.
The venue chosen for the shoot was specifically this warehouse area filled with storage crates and training gear. The brown cardboard boxes on multi-tiered shelves in the background, along with the colorful traffic cones lined up to the side, greatly enhanced the sense of everyday life and realistic venue atmosphere. The wooden vaulting box I sat on served as the visual focal point of the whole frame, with its natural wood texture rendered very solidly under warm lighting.
For the first photo, I chose a more relaxed sitting pose with my legs naturally extended, one foot resting on the volleyball in the foreground, and my fingers pointing right at the cat paw emblem on my chest. This angle maximally showcases the visual elongating effect of the white over-the-knee socks on my legs, while clearly presenting the silhouette and tailoring details of the top. This kind of slightly interactive pose effectively creates a welcoming atmosphere of inviting a friend to warm up together before gym class like an Anime student-athlete.
When shooting the second photo, I slightly adjusted my body orientation, sitting sideways on the wooden box with one hand gently resting beside my forehead and my gaze directed toward the side space. This posture leans more toward the natural state of taking a brief rest midway through daily sports training. Rather than forcing an exaggerated combat pose, this casual, relaxed feel is closer to the everyday interpretation I wanted to convey.
The golden wig on my head actually took a lot of effort to fix and style, especially the direction of the bangs, which needed to maintain enough airy lightness while coordinating with the hair clip at the roots to avoid shifting when switching sitting postures. Under bright light, the wig exhibited a soft silky reflection, forming a nice color harmony with the yellow sportswear.
This sportswear outfit is very elastic in terms of material selection; even as I sat on the vaulting box constantly changing my leg and arm poses, I felt no restraint at all. The reflective effect of the white over-the-knee socks under strong lighting appeared very clean without excess wrinkles, making the lines of the entire lower body look clean and sharp.
Speaking of the light and shadow handling for this set of photos, lighting in a sports warehouse is actually quite difficult to control, especially when presenting facial contours from the front while preventing shadows from the wooden box or cardboard boxes behind from becoming too heavy. Fortunately, the photographer's lighting setup was very precise; through softbox fill light from the front, it not only preserved the skin's natural glow, but also gave the brightness of the yellow crop top a lively energy without making the overall frame dull.
As a character with a sporty style, that inherent high drive in her personality actually needs to be conveyed through eyes and micro body movements. Although it's a set of static photos, I consciously kept my shoulders relaxed and maintained a certain sense of communication between my gaze and the lens, so looking back at the photos, the overall state feels dynamic rather than stiff.
The position of the volleyball by my feet was determined by moving it around slowly. This prop was used not just as a color accent in the composition, but its presence also gave the scene more story appeal, as if I had just put down the ball and sat down to rest. On the shelves behind, those training cones were scattered casually; although blurred as a background, their colors provided just the right contrast to the yellow-and-white dominant hue, enriching the image's color scheme.
Stepping from game character settings into a real equipment room, the everyday feel of this outfit itself is very strong. I really love this style that shows character charm without complex gear—real hair color paired with sporty cuts presents a refreshing and energetic state in front of the lens. The effort invested this time was not only in accurately recreating the costume, but also in finding a dynamic expression that resonates with the character's personality.
