When shooting this Swimsuit cosplay look for Eleg, the trickiest part was definitely the heart-shaped ahoge on top of the head. To keep its shape pristine in frame, we concealed rigid aluminum wire inside the wig and generously layered strong styling spray. Due to the high heat from the indoor studio lights, the soft fabric of the white bodysuit tended to crease and cling whenever I started sweating, which meant constant touch-ups with blotting paper and setting powder between takes. Marciana cosplay beside me was actually an even tougher physical test: while the red-and-black straps and visor matched the sporty theme brilliantly, the light-blue trousers were exceptionally long, making moving around and outfit changes rather cumbersome. The blue-and-white ball she held might look light, but holding it up for long stretches made arms intensely sore.
As for the props, the yellow-and-blue volleyball I held had decent weight, requiring firm finger placement to support it securely without obstructing the character's body lines. Throughout the shoot, we tried that penguin waddle-like pose mentioned in the post—slightly bending the knees, leaning forward, and coordinating with the white skirt and volleyball. Because the camera was constantly firing bursts to capture motion, we spent quite some time fine-tuning before catching the most natural expressions.
In post-processing, to highlight the delicate texture of the swimwear material, fabric wrinkles were not overly liquified, leaving authentic fabric definition intact. The saturation of the red, yellow, and blue color blocking was specifically calibrated to enhance a crisp, refreshing, and energetic tone. The makeup featured rosy blush accents that, paired with purple-blue contact lenses, faithfully captured the 2D charm of GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE. Though the entire setup was elaborate and the wig was quite heavy, hitting that precise angle in front of the lens made all the effort feel worthwhile. The studio was dressed with beach umbrellas, palm trees, and swim rings to amplify the summer beach ambiance. Friends on set continuously helped manage reflectors, ensuring smooth and balanced facial illumination. As noted regarding the event setup without personalized signatures, it was simply to save time so more visitors could capture great shots. Changing and styling across both looks took roughly two to three hours, but the overall presentation, posing, expressions, and atmospheric mood matched our expectations completely, making it an unforgettable shoot experience.
