Cosplaying Azur Lane's Duisberg this time, the greatest hurdle was definitely the enormous red Devil wings on my back. Although the photos look effortless and cool, the physical props were remarkably heavy. Combined with the cropped black-and-red Techwear jacket and the fitted crop-top base layer, walking back and forth inside the abandoned warehouse constantly pulled my center of gravity backward. To evoke the dynamic impression of spreading wings poised for flight, I had to keep my core muscles engaged the entire time to maintain balance.

The costume's details are exceptionally intricate—from the metallic triangular clasps at the collar to the waist belts, teddy bear charm, cutout sleeves, and arm bindings, every single element exudes a hardcore combat aesthetic. To complement this sharp yet slightly hazardous vibe, for the lower half I opted for sheer Black stockings paired with leather thigh garters. The red spliced borders along the stockings echo the red lining of the jacket, while black lace-up combat boots ground the look, elongating the overall silhouette. People often say the Northern Parliament characters are truly something else with their tough, hardcore designs, but after wrapping up, it almost felt like my personal Waterloo—holding a stern, stoic expression under the scorching sun in this gear was tremendously draining.

Regarding location scouting, rooftops and industrial-style factory floors matched this aesthetic seamlessly. Sunset glow on the rooftop served as natural warm rim light, crisply contouring the figure, while the stark concrete walls and metallic pipes inside the facility—accentuated by high-contrast daylight pouring through large windows—amplified the overall sense of power. To carve out distinct visual dynamics, on the rooftop I leaned one hand against the railing, letting the wind toss my hair strands, whereas inside the factory I half-unzipped and sluffed off the jacket to reveal the crisscross straps underneath, along with seated poses on stone ledges highlighting leg contours.

For the makeup, I heightened the sharpness of the eyes and chose reddish-brown contact lenses to complement the red accents throughout the outfit. The wig was textured and layered to prevent it from tangling into a mess when caught in the wind. Portraying a character with heavy props and intricate layers always feels like a test of stamina and patience, but seeing the resulting lighting textures and costume nuances made every bit of struggle entirely worthwhile.
