Putting on this white sleeveless shirt and black bodycon mini skirt, donning the white long curly wig, and adjusting the black horns on top along with the purple bat wings behind me, the Sorasaki Hina cosplay look was basically complete. For this shoot, I chose an indoor studio with a pure white backdrop, setting up simple props like a desk and blue folders to recreate her usual state while handling official duties as much as possible.
When taking these photos, I put special effort into the makeup, using pink-toned contact lenses with red under-eye makeup, and drawing the two red marks on my forehead precisely according to the character sheet. The wig styling was harder to manage than expected; to maintain those long, fluffy beach waves, the hair strands tangled easily, and coupled with the rigid horn-like hair accessories on top, the overall head weight wasn't light. To match that capable yet somewhat aloof vibe, I selected a white sleeveless shirt paired with a black high-waisted bodycon skirt, along with translucent Black stockings and black glossy pointed-toe high heels, making the overall black, white, and purple color scheme extremely striking.
During the shoot, we tried multiple camera angles and poses. Standing leaning against the table holding a tablet looked like processing duty files; sitting sideways on a folding chair required stretching the legs forward to elongate leg lines and highlight the texture of the Black stockings; and the single-knee kneel picking up a folder tested core strength and natural movement. Changing positions continuously in such high heels definitely left my leg muscles aching, but seeing the frames on the camera made all the effort worthwhile.
Regarding props, the purple bat wings behind me were secured to my body via straps, and adjusting the angle was crucial—too far forward or backward would ruin the overall proportions. The purple halo special effect in the photo was added in post-processing, echoing the wing color to give the image a visually striking fusion of sci-fi and fantasy. The studio lighting mainly consisted of soft white light shining on the white shirt and white hair, requiring exposure control to prevent blowout while retaining the textures of the black skirt and Black stockings. Shot with a large aperture, the background was cleanly blurred, making the subject stand out even more.
As a 2D Cosplay work, every single step—from early-stage costume selection and wig styling to on-set lighting utilization, pose guidance, and later-stage visual effects compositing—needs careful polishing. I hope this photo set not only showcases the character's physical traits, but also conveys Sorasaki Hina's focused and calm temperament while working. Watching her handle matters with a tablet felt like truly materializing that quote, "Leave the rest of the work to me." Although minor hitches like wig tangles and unstable high heels popped up during the session, the final output met expectations, making it a fulfilling photography experience.
