Who goes there? The Galactic Baseballer! This time at the selfie studio, I tried recreating the cool yet easygoing Trailblazer from Honkai: Star Rail.
The focus of this shoot was highlighting the character's techwear styling and inherent casual combat vibe. The silver-gray draped wig paired with messy bangs, along with upturned eyeliner makeup, instantly brought out the feel of a Stellaron Hunter (or Nameless) traveling across galactic trains. The entire outfit centers on black, white, and yellow tones; the jacket looks like a lightweight tactical coat over a clean, simple white tee. What I love most are the side details—not only brown leather-spliced sleeve covers, but also a metal chain at the waist and that iconic golden hollow sphere, dripping with texture. The lower body features black shorts complemented by a bright blue strap across the thigh, adding a vibrant accent to the overall black-yellow dark palette.
For the weapon prop, this bat-sword interweaving black, white, and yellow geometric lines is super photogenic. Its size is modest—it can be held with both hands in a combat posture or slung over one shoulder with a single hand, giving an effortless impression. During shooting, a wind machine blew the coat hem and yellow ribbons of the cape into motion, which, combined with my defensive or offensive stances, brought out the original character's dynamic energy.
The choice of shooting location was also interesting. This time at the Shanghai photoshoot booking session inside a selfie studio, we utilized several different backdrops to present her versatile daily life states. The first was a studio shoot on a pure white background, mainly used to showcase the outfit's completeness and clean, crisp combat posture. For example, in the photo where I straddle a wooden round stool looking back, using the swaying sleeves and flowy hair created a very stretched composition, perfectly preserving the character's valiant charm and slender feminine silhouette.
Beyond the studio portion, there were several scenes I loved. One was the silver metal trash can set on location—I sat on the floor, lifting the trash can lid with one hand, with a cute red-and-blue cat plushie and a chessboard leaning beside me. This slightly gap-moe 2D daily life feel completely released the Galactic Baseballer's casualness and sense of humor away from battle. Another scene was set before a cyberpunk esports desk, where blue neon lights outlined the desk's geometric lines, while dual monitors displaying hexagonal grid wallpapers and keyboard backlighting echoed the character's game/tech-related lore. Sitting in the gaming chair leaning my head on my hand, as if I just finished a Spiral Abyss run or a game, I emanated a relaxed, modern youth vibe. Additionally, there was a facial close-up I valued deeply where the photographer used a mirror reflection composition along with blue strip neon lights behind, framing my profile and reflection together; under soft cool-toned lighting, facial contours and the character's cool, detached demeanor were clearly captured.
This photo set overall combines combat tension with daily freshness. Outfit stitching, decorations, and patterns were meticulously paired, letting one appreciate the effort put into the geometric and techwear design. The selfie studio atmosphere is great for immersive Cosplay photography, capturing the character's unique charm beyond the game. Unlike traditional static booth photos, these scene interactions gave the work a living, breathing feel. Thank you all for watching!
