[Hatsune Miku Cosplay] Onmyoji Collaboration Look: Wearing the Cherry Blossom Japanese-style Outfit This Time

The final photos for the Onmyoji collaboration Hatsune Miku look are finally sorted out. When I first got this outfit, my immediate feeling was that the attention to detail was incredibly meticulous. The top mainly uses a pure white base color, with light pink piping along the collar. The hollowed-out large golden pendant on the chest is a very eye-catching and iconic piece; the material is quite rigid and has a nice weight to it, allowing it to sit firmly on the chest during the shoot.

The detached wide sleeves share an exquisite similarity with the furisode in traditional kimonos. The outer layer is a deep peacock blue satin material, while the inner layer is lined with soft baby pink, and the cuffs are adorned with 3D small pink flowers. These elements, especially in the swing scene of the set, combined with my arm movements, allowed the lightweight fabric to create a beautiful, ethereal flowing effect.

The lower skirt is made of asymmetrical fabrics pieced together with white, pink, and blue-green colors, giving it a dynamic feel like a Chinese ink wash painting. To highly align with the visual features of the collaboration setting, I paired it with black tights and kept the iconic two yellow horizontal stripes on the thighs. The platform wooden clog-style high heels on my feet are also a major component of the look; the blue-and-black blocks and the 3D flower decorations on the tips make the overall visual effect very rich. The platform design visually elongated the leg lines, and although they are high heels, the stable platform design allowed me to stand very firmly during the shoot without worrying about balance.

For the teal-green long straight hair this time, I paid special attention to the layers and thickness of the bangs during preparation, making sure the sideburns on both sides cascaded naturally along the edges of my cheeks. The light blue colored contacts combined with the light, clear eye makeup retained the character's signature look without seeming overly jarring. The pink-and-white five-petal flower hair accessory on top of my head, along with those two slightly curved black antenna-like hair accessories, added a touch of anime-style playfulness to the sweet look.

To match this brilliantly colored outfit, the photographer specially set up two different-toned studio backdrops. In front of the light blue gradient background, I held the white oil paper umbrella painted with cherry blossom patterns and took multiple full-body photos in sitting and standing poses. This clean backdrop maximized the contrast of the outfit's rich color blocks and golden accessories. The other set was inside a meticulously crafted practical studio, featuring a natural wood-colored swing, simulated green grass, and hanging artificial vines and cherry blossoms. In this scene, I sat on the swing, closing one eye to make a playful expression, or leaned sideways against the vines, blending the Japanese-style outfit and spring vibes together.

The makeup artist did a very clean job this time; the soft pink blush and natural lip color made my complexion look very translucent, while also balancing well with the cool tones of the teal-green hair to achieve a harmony of warm and cool elements. At the same time, I paid special attention during the shoot to the red "01" tattoo mark on my arm, which is a very core identity element of the overall look. Under the lighting, this mark looked very realistic, forming a visual contrast with the wide sleeves of the costume.

Communication with the photography, makeup, and post-production teams was incredibly smooth. We kept trying different angles during the live cosplay photography, and the photographer had precise control over the light, especially under the diffuse reflection light of the practical studio, beautifully restoring the skin tone and clothing texture. The post-production editor preserved the most authentic colors of the images without over-editing, giving the entire set a very solid and grounded quality. This photoshoot experience went very smoothly from preparation to the final release, and this design full of spring aura and dynamism has also given me a lot of new inspiration for future shoots.
