Taking on the Lanting Yue skin for Yin Ziping in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT this time—from the moment I received the costume, I knew every single detail of this styling was worth savoring in this Game cosplay shoot.

The outfit is a modified Chinese sleeveless fitted dress, dominated by deep blue and white hues evocative of Jiangnan water towns. The floral motifs across the chest are remarkably refined, showcasing subtle three-dimensional layering rather than looking flat. The high-slit skirt design preserves traditional Chinese charm while allowing wide, dynamic movements during shooting. Paired with white detached sleeves trimmed with frayed, weathered tassels, it harmonizes perfectly with the lore of a benevolent healer weathered by hardship.

The wig was styled into silver-white long twin tails, with white hair buns trimmed in black lace pinned firmly to either side of the crown. The long tails flow with wonderful elegance during turns, but reaching down to my waist, they required constant vigilance during poses to prevent the strands from tangling around the sword. For makeup, I deliberately chose pinkish-purple colored contacts, emphasizing sharply defined lashes and delicate lower eyelid shading to replicate an anime character's vibrant gaze before the lens.

The long sword in my hand was the primary prop; though unsharpened, it carried notable weight. A long white silk ribbon was tied to the pommel, and I purposefully used its billowing arcs during shooting to inject dynamic motion into the frame. On the bustling convention floor, the background was somewhat cluttered with photography gear and passersby. To keep the background from stealing focus, the photographer utilized a wide aperture to blur the distractions, while I needed intense concentration to hold every pose rock-steady.

Both sets of poses had their own challenges. For the set seated on the step ladder, legs crossed in Stockings with one hand gripping the unsheathed sword horizontally and the other resting casually on the scabbard, it demanded intense abdominal and core strength—relaxing even slightly would cause posture collapse. The standing shot lifting one leg placed my entire center of gravity on a single foot in high heels, requiring not only balance but also extending the other arm outward into a martial arts stance. This tension, suspended between dance and wuxia martial arts, is precisely the unique allure of wuxia Game cosplay.

Wearing this Lanting Yue ensemble, I strived to bring forth that resilient spirit veiled beneath Yin Ziping's gentle exterior. From fabric textures and prop coordination to muscular engagement in every posture, every step required iterative refinement. I hope this presentation allows everyone to feel the unique atmosphere born from the collision of traditional Chinese wuxia and Yin Ziping cosplay.
