To prepare for Yin Ziping, I researched lore beforehand regarding her devotion to practicing medicine with benevolence and rejuvenating patients with divine skill. Choosing Guangzhou Cultural Center for this outdoor Ancient style photoshoot was inspired precisely by its classical architectural ambiance. The outfit centers on a white base framed by black piping, channeling a serene yet gentle presence. The crisp tailoring of the skirt, paired with puff sleeves and lace trim, injects airy lightness, which instantly brought the character to life alongside the twintails and white ribbon bows.

Prop-wise, I prepared a white lace Folding fan with black ribs, echoing the garment's monochrome palette. For the legs, I selected white garter-strap stockings paired with black Mary Jane shoes; this ensured the leg lines flowed fluidly during movement, lending light dynamic grace to each shot. Styling the hair took considerable time to lock in the arch of the twintails; dealing with fickle outdoor winds demanded plenty of hairspray, but seeing that ethereal flutter in the finished frames made it all worthwhile.

The shooting day was blessed with gorgeous sunshine illuminating the grey brick walls and circular moon gate of the cultural center. In the first shot, I sat on the rim of the moon gate elevating the Folding fan—a pose that heavily tested core strength and caused lower-back ache when held for long, but I readjusted my seating multiple times to let the skirt drape naturally while accentuating the White stockings and leg contours. The photographer explored numerous angles from opposite, utilizing the circular gate as a natural frame to grant the composition rich depth.

For the frame before the lawn and pagoda tower, I adopted a confident standing stance—holding the Folding fan in one hand while resting the other on my hip. As the wind blew past, the twintails drifted upward, taking several burst captures to seize the most effortless moment. The final shot captured a backward glance beneath the archway: the long twintails swept an elegant arc mid-turn, which paired with raising the Folding fan beautifully highlighted the character's poise in both motion and stillness.

Speaking of Yin Ziping, the essence of her character lies in medical virtue and compassionate benevolence. In managing micro-expressions, I avoided exaggerated smiles, maintaining a quiet, gentle demeanor with empathy in my gaze. My physical posture leaned toward dignified poise—the rise and fall of my wrists and each paced step were guided by a calm, harmonious cadence fitting her identity as a healer.

Regarding garment texture, the inner dress features jacquard weaves and lace paneling; under intense outdoor sun, fabric luster directly impacts highlight-shadow contrast. To keep the monochrome contrast sharp, I scouted front-lit and side-lit angles beforehand to prevent overexposure. The lush foliage and grey bricks of Guangzhou Cultural Center provided an ideal backdrop where white stood out brilliantly, capturing stellar shots without excessive artificial lighting.

The pose choreography was entirely tailored around the character's persona. While viewers might find the White stockings and garter design visually compelling, for me, they served to enrich the dynamism of each movement. Simple static posing would feel stiff. For instance, when sitting on the moon gate, the elongation of the feet was crucial; the white over-the-knee stockings flattered the leg lines while the black shoes grounded the visual center of gravity.

The shooting atmosphere was relaxed and joyful. Guangzhou Cultural Center is a magnificent venue for photography; the fusion of classical lines and natural scenery opened up endless creative possibilities. We framed shots across varied corners, striving to capture both the character's poetic charm and the location's textural depth.
