This shoot featuring Yat Sen's summer swimsuit from Azur Lane leaned toward a refreshing and languid atmosphere. The outfit centered on a white halter top with ruffled trim paired with a matching white miniskirt, layered under a semi-sheer white long-sleeved cover-up. To mirror the character's graceful presence, the wig was styled as a sleek, straight black cut with blunt fringe, accented on the side by floral hair accessories trailing white ribbons. For makeup, red contact lenses were paired with crimson-toned eye shadow to convey a soft, subtly dreamy gaze before the lens, finished with a dewy, glossy red lip that forged crisp chromatic contrast against the pristine white ensemble.

The set was constructed entirely indoors. The background featured a beach tapestry printed with blue skies, white clouds, and palm trees, fronted by blue-and-white striped boards assembled into poolside ledges and seaside steps, trimmed with warm-yellow decorative string lights along the edges. For props, we arranged a blue-and-white lifebuoy and a pink bubble gun. Lighting was crucial on set: to simulate natural seaside sunshine, the key light was dialed high and bright while soft fill neutralized harsh shadows, infusing a palpable sense of dimensional depth into the flat canvas backdrop.

Pose choreography focused primarily on seated and reclining postures to cultivate a relaxed summer getaway feel. For instance, sitting on the steps reaching outward toward the lens looked simple, yet required a gentle forward torso lean and engaged waist support to keep bodily contours fluid and graceful. Reclining against the lifebuoy demanded core stability with legs softly bent and crossed, projecting an elongated and comfortably poised silhouette. Another frame perched atop a tall metal stool with the bubble gun showcased crossed legs, where the transparent-strap high-heeled sandals aligned smoothly with the arch of the foot into a continuous leg line. Utilizing a fan alongside the bubble machine to seize the fleeting moment of drifting bubbles interacting with the subject required continuous adjustments to catch the exact frame with balanced bubble density and a serene facial expression.

Footwear alternated between bare feet and clear-strap heeled sandals: going barefoot leaned into barefoot beach relaxation, while the heeled sandals elongated leg proportions to ground full-body compositions. Overall, high-key, slightly cool-toned lighting paired with pure white garments and pale blue surroundings visually suppressed midsummer stuffiness, granting the finalized photos a Refreshing summer clarity. Every pose calibration was designed to maximize the carefree comfort of a coastal retreat within the limits of an indoor set. Seizing the opportunity of the 2026 Port District Midsummer Cooling Festival, I'm delighted to share this Yat Sen swimsuit set, hoping it brings everyone a cool seaside breeze amidst the sweltering heat.
