This leather jacket look for Yixuan cosplay from Zenless Zone Zero truly fulfilled my long-standing desire to pursue a cool, glamorous Onee-san / Mature woman aesthetic. To channel that crisp, capable presence tinged with subtle danger, I specifically selected a long, straight wig in an ash-silver tone, faithfully arranging the small ahoge at the crown and the black hairpins on both sides. In terms of makeup, I focused on accentuating the sharpness of the eyes while keeping the foundation clean and translucent, as this cool-toned styling can easily look muddy under bright lights otherwise.

The wardrobe required true attention to detail. The sheen of the black Leather jacket and high heels was particularly prominent under studio lights, catching specular highlights with every slight movement, so I had to constantly monitor fabric creases to keep the silhouette looking sharp and structured. Beneath the jacket, the white button-up shirt was tied with a blue necktie and pinned with that blue floral brooch; with the white ruffled skirt peeking out from beneath the hem of the leather jacket, paired with semi-sheer black Stockings and stiletto platform pumps, the visual depth came together seamlessly. The tailored cut of the jacket, accentuated by the waist belt and epaulets, flattered bodily proportions wonderfully, so I spent considerable time fine-tuning the belt position before the mirror after trying it on.

Throughout the shoot, the synergy between props and postures was essential. The pose in Photo 1—kneeling on a traditional wooden armchair—tested my core strength, but removing the high heels and setting them aside while displaying the texture of the Stockings and sleek leg lines created a compelling sense of contrast. Poses like this often require sustained lumbar engagement to hold balance, which definitely worked up a sweat after each set. Photo 2 features sitting with crossed legs on the chair, an angle that naturally projected a commanding aura; resting my chin in one hand or placing an arm along the armrest conveyed nonchalant ease, and pairing that with a cool gaze matched the mature persona to perfection. Photo 3 captured a candid moment of adjusting the necktie, seizing a subtle micro-action to keep the portrait lively rather than rigid.

For this shoot, I put extra thought into selecting the Stockings. Because they had to pair with patent high heels, I chose a denier with moderate sheer transparency that gave off an organic sheen under studio lights without looking unrefined. While a leather jacket looks effortlessly cool, its breathability is minimal, making several hours under hot studio lights a physical workout. Opting for a carved Chinese hardwood armchair as a prop proved an intriguing experiment: the collision between leather and polished wood against a clean white backdrop focused all visual attention squarely onto the character's demeanor. The core of this set lay in striking the right balance between crisp sharpness and allure—relaxing the physical posture while keeping the eyes focused, radiating an effortless sense of control. For anyone wishing to try this look, pay attention to the suppleness of the leather, as overly stiff material can hinder natural movement. Choosing the right sock denier is equally critical: too opaque loses the breathable sheer quality, while too thin risks snagging easily, nuances that only hands-on experimentation reveals. I hope everyone enjoys this cool and glamorous style explored before the camera.
