[Ichinose Asuna cosplay] Blue light night rain and a transparent umbrella in Dreamcore park

This Ichinose Asuna cosplay photoshoot was completed at night in a dreamcore park, right as a light rain began to fall, so we naturally combined the theme with night and rain. The venue itself features strong neon colors; yellow railings in the background and distant arched structures look fantastic at night, with sharp cold-warm light contrasts that fit the school uniform atmosphere of Blue Archive perfectly.

The outfit accurately restores the iconic white shirt, high-waisted dark pleated skirt, and striking bright blue big bow tie. Details like the black choker with a blue square plate in the center, the blue halo above the head, and blue side hair accessories were styled as close to original settings as possible. For hair, a light blonde wig was styled with slightly messy wisps to evoke a casual, energetic feel. Eye makeup used reddish-pink eyeshadow smudging to recreate her signature demeanor with a touch of cool detachment.

A Transparent umbrella prop served as a key item during the shoot. On one hand, it filled empty night spaces, refracting crystal-clear luster under cool lights to make the entire frame translucent; on the other hand, it gave physical movements an interactive anchor. Kneeling beneath the umbrella nicely outlined leg curves to visually extend lower body proportions, while the umbrella's J-handle fit naturally in hand for poses like peace signs or resting chin on hand.

Camera gear included a Nikon Zf with a 50mm f/1.8 S prime lens. The large aperture ensured crisp facial details in night conditions while creating beautiful bokeh out of background blue light posts and warm streetlamps. Tonal transitions between light and dark were preserved richly without over-brightening shadows, enhancing nighttime authenticity. A small continuous fill light on the face kept skin tones clean and bright. The set avoided heavy reliance on post-processing visual effects, depending instead on environment and posing to convey character essence.

Considering the dynamic, variable photography style, multiple poses were tested across camera angles. Resting a head against a railing held in one hand in Photo 1, or raising both hands in Photo 3, highlighted the character's lively traits. Subtle twists at the waist and shoulders were introduced without breaking balance to avoid rigid frontal standing poses. Anime night photography places high demands on maintaining a cosplayer's state—balancing facial expressions while adjusting handheld props and poses. However, the final light and shadow effects made sinking into character effortless. Overall, the set avoided forced dramatic flare, aiming instead to present the character's everyday charm and true student uniform beauty. With the umbrella and night scene embellishments, I'm personally quite pleased with the result.
