There were really too many people when shooting this set at Yuntai Garden; the Anime convention was literally packed shoulder-to-shoulder. I scouted a relatively clean angle for a few shots, but the background still couldn't avoid passersby and that dark fill-light fixture. At the time, I genuinely wondered whether I could get any usable shots today, or if they'd all be discards. Because of the crowd, I basically adopted the mindset of "any shot is better than none," shifting positions for ages before barely carving out a tiny corner to take front-facing portraits.

But I have to say, the makeup was truly stunning. The skill of the Cosplay makeup artist left me in pure awe—the layered depth of the eye makeup was masterfully done, the blue brows harmonized flawlessly with the wig's hue, and my eyes looked a full size larger without seeming unnatural at all. The base makeup was feather-light, and the highlights along the bridge of the nose and cheeks hit just right, giving the entire face a clean, luminous finish. The Cosplay makeup artist explained that the makeup was designed specifically to refine my facial contour and eye shape; paired with this lavish blue-white-purple cosplay costume, I thought the commanding aura would be dialed up to maximum.

Yet reviewing the photos afterward, I was completely torn between laughter and tears. I originally aimed to present that aloof, mature, and distanced demeanor, but no matter how I adjusted my expressions, a silly, innocent cuteness seeped through. My eyes couldn't look fierce, the aura was totally off, and it was involuntarily turned into a Cute style! Looking at the photos, I started questioning myself: why can't I pull off that mature, imposing look? Perhaps my natural facial features are simply too soft and round—completely exposed!

Even though the scene was chaotic and the sea of people in the photos was disheartening, thanks to the divine skills of the Cosplay makeup artist and the fine quality of the outfit itself, we managed to capture a few decent shots. Although the process was packed with unexpected hiccups and maneuvering struggles, we successfully documented this stunning makeup in full. Even if the style went off-track, as an Anime convention experience, the journey was thoroughly enjoyable, and there's no need to force strict adherence to the original character lore.

If it turned out cute, so be it! In reality, I simply don't look like a mature, commanding figure. Despite wearing this magnificent attire, no matter how hard I tried to strike a cold expression, my eyes and brows naturally radiated an innate cuteness—I couldn't look aloof no matter how you sliced it. Given the chance in the future, I'll experiment with different angles and expressions to see if I can salvage this contrast. All in all, this shoot wrapped up safe and sound, recording an exhausting yet surprisingly joyful experience.
