Bringing this Arknights concept of Sakiko Toyokawa to life took considerable preparation time across every styling nuance. For the wig, I selected long wavy locks in pale ice blue, backcombing the roots to build natural, airy volume. The massive curved black horns atop the crown were remarkably heavy, requiring heavy-duty pinning through the inner wig cap to prevent shifting during dynamic stances. Makeup-wise, to align with the character's aloof coolness, I blended reddish hues around the eye sockets, wore translucent pink contact lenses, and kept the foundation porcelain pale.

The wardrobe is an intricately tailored dark gothic Lolita ensemble. The bodice features a black corset laced with straps and metallic chains, centered by an azure sapphire brooch across the bust. The billowing skirt is enormous, constructed from four to five cascading tiers—the outermost shell in jacquard black fabric, lined beneath with layers of ruffled white lace. Walking in this gown required immense care, yet lifting the hemline for poses proved exceptionally photogenic, delivering formidable visual tension to the scene. On my legs, I wore vertical-striped black Stockings paired with pointed-toe patent leather booties accented with metallic buckles, visually elongating my proportions before the camera.

We staged the session in a classical European practical studio furnished with tasteful antique pieces—a deep red leather Chesterfield sofa, dark wood bookcases, and a grand piano. To keep compositions dynamic, I utilized tactile props including a feather quill, parchment letters, and a vintage gramophone. The silver cross greatsword in my hands was crafted from solid metal; with its hefty, unforgiving weight, it proved the greatest endurance test of the entire shoot.

Lighting played a pivotal role throughout the session. Against a shadowy ambient background, the photographer paired warm candlelight from candelabras with cool-blue strobes to craft high-contrast dramatic flair. I cycled through varying personas across setups: lounging on the sofa, arranging the cascading hem and crossing my legs to project nonchalant authority; standing beside the piano, dipping my chin into quiet contemplation; and brandishing the greatsword with a tight core, gripping the hilt firmly with one or both hands while focusing intense energy into my gaze. In particular, the pose raising the sword one-handed to half-veil my face left my arm burning, making center-of-gravity balance absolutely vital.

Because of the skirt's immense volume, every pose transition required smoothing the fabric drapes and straightening the lace lines to ensure tactile textures registered cleanly in every frame. What satisfies me most about this set is how naturally the gothic aesthetic fused with my personal temperament. The production team's eye for detail—vintage calligraphy across the letters, a scarlet velvet cloak draped over the sofa—imbued the entire scene with rich narrative depth. Though sore and exhausted by wrap time, seeing the chiaroscuro and compositions in the raw shots made every drop of sweat worthwhile. Given the opportunity, I look forward to taking on more elaborate costumes and heavy weaponry in future Anime-style photography projects.
