[Durandal cosplay] A gorgeous blossom in red Qipao, a tribute to Chinese aesthetics

This shoot was created in response to the 2D Cosplay project, featuring a special challenge with Durandal from Honkai Impact 3rd. To align with the upcoming New Year atmosphere, I specially selected this red design incorporating Qipao elements, aiming to let the character maintain agility and gorgeousness while integrating more details of Chinese aesthetics. We put a lot of thought into the production and material selection of the costume, from red embroidery to gold sequin embellishments, striving for precise restoration of the character's visual beauty in the game, while also conforming to the elegant posture of a Qipao. Red is the most passionate color of the season, representing celebration and respect for cultural heritage. During the shooting, we paid special attention to capturing light and shadow, allowing this red Qipao outfit to present a layered texture in the lens. Furthermore, in terms of makeup and styling, we emphasized the character's coolness and allure through delicate eyeshadow blending and high-saturation lip color. The texture of the wig was also polished repeatedly to ensure the flow of every strand remains perfect before the lens. Through this multi-dimensional fusion, we hope to create a work that meets character settings while possessing unique cultural expression, allowing everyone to feel the unique charm of Chinese elements in this visual feast.
