The trajectory of fate is mine to rewrite! Shooting this set of Iuno cosplay photoshoot actually took a lot of thought during the early preparation stage. As a highly distinctive character in Wuthering Waves, although this white-and-gold outfit paired with blue looks light and flowing, it actually has a very rich sense of layering. To recreate the character's refreshing agility yet mysterious divine aura, I focused on adjusting the positioning of the colored contacts and highlights during makeup and styling, striving to present the best state in front of the lens.

Let's first talk about my impressions of this look. The blue-and-white double-toned gradient wig took a lot of time to style. The twin-tails with golden hair accessories echo the metal ring ornaments around the neck. The tailoring of the costume itself is very unique; whether it's the metallic-textured bow on the chest, or the translucent armbands and metal bracers on the arms, every detail needs to be precisely positioned, otherwise it would look bulky. Especially on the legs, the strap elements are paired with a large area of bare skin. To present a manga-like line aesthetic, I put it on and took it off several times just to find the most fitting balance point for the body curves, which is also a visually eye-catching part of this game cosplay look.

The scene setting is another major highlight of this photography. The photographer set up an indoor studio filled with a classical European feel, where white marble sculptures, gorgeous gilded picture frames, and purple floral arrangements scattered on the white plush carpet all created a pure yet luxurious atmosphere. When shooting the frame in Figure 4 where I sat on the harp throne, I tried leaning my center of gravity back and relaxing my shoulders, letting the whole torso present a stretched posture. Combined with the angle of the legs, I strove to maximize the beauty of the character's attire without looking unnatural.

Transitioning to the water scene for the subsequent shoot was a completely different experience. Lying on that quaintly styled wooden bed, with the clear water surface right beside me, looking at myself reflected in the water ripples, I felt that quiet atmosphere was especially suited to the calm inner side of this character. During the shoot, I deliberately controlled my gaze, no longer looking at the camera, but tilting my face slightly to give the frame a stronger sense of storytelling. Especially in Figure 6, using the reflection of the water surface formed a perfect symmetrical composition. This high-key soft lighting combined with the water refraction elevated the texture of the entire photo by quite a bit.

Although it was my first time trying such a large-scale studio photoshoot, the tacit understanding throughout the entire shooting process was wonderful. For cosplay, whether you can capture the soul of the character depends not only on the accuracy of the costume and props, but more importantly on the expression of emotion. At the moment the shutter pressed, I tried to forget external distractions and immerse myself in the 2D world I had constructed. This time it wasn't just to take pretty pictures, but more about hoping to convey the character's confident, calm, and even slightly fatalistic temperament to everyone through these anime-style photography works. Managing the clothes, sorting the wig, and coordinating with the photographer's lighting setup—all the hard work turned into satisfaction upon seeing the final photos. This is the charm that game cosplay brings to me: using a real body to touch a virtual soul, where every shutter press writes a trajectory of one's own.
