Putting on this blue-and-white swimsuit and standing on the reef of the shallow beach, the sea breeze is slightly cool, but the quality of the light is just right. This set of seaside final cuts has actually been prepared for a while; what I wanted to express most was this refreshing and dreamlike summer atmosphere.

The design details of Rem's swimsuit are truly meticulous. It not only preserves the character's inherent cute characteristics but also adds refreshing ruffle elements. The fabric of the headpiece is relatively light and thin, with a slight swaying motion in the breeze. The white collar design on the chest paired with the light blue base color looks exceptionally clean visually. The skirt hem and leg rings at the waist perfectly contour the figure, while adding some playful 2D attributes to this swimsuit. This time, selecting this striped swim ring as the main prop, aside from providing the necessary visual support in the seaside scene, its blue-and-beige color palette is highly unified with the overall tone of the costume, avoiding overtaking the main focus. It beautifully captures the essence of Swimsuit cosplay.

The shooting location chose a shallow beach with reefs. Although the water looks very shallow, the edges of some stones underfoot are highly prominent, requiring a bit of attention to balance. To make the frame look more dynamic, the photographer specially found some reefs protruding from the water surface for me to stand on. For instance, in the final cuts, the shot of me stepping on a stone with one foot and legs slightly apart actually required deliberately controlling the center of gravity, because the rock surface was relatively wet and slippery, and I couldn't stand for too long. However, it is precisely this natural standing posture that gave the leg lines an excellent extension, which, paired with the decoration of the leg ring, perfectly displayed the overall styling of the swimsuit for this Rem cosplay showcase.

The part I am most satisfied with about this set of cuts is the coordination between the light and the environment atmosphere. The shooting time was intentionally chosen when the sun was close to the horizon; this soft diffuse reflection light made the skin texture look highly delicate, while avoiding the harsh dead-white shadows of a summer midday. In terms of post-production color grading, we intentionally preserved the soft, hazy feel of the entire set of photos, weakening the high contrast of the background and stones, and lowering the purity of the frame a bit. In this way, the entire blue-and-white frame looks as lightweight as a watercolor painting, carrying a touch of laziness and dreaminess. This is a masterful display of Anime-style photography.

Regarding the capturing of poses, the photographer gave a vast amount of freedom and did not require me to make too many rigid movements. For example, there is a frame where I hold the collar and slightly tilt my head to look at the water surface; it was actually just accidentally captured while I was daydreaming, which instead appears natural and authentic. There is also the back shot display, where the lines from the shoulders to the waist, down to the decoration of the leg ring, present a highly smooth overall proportion through the silhouette. Under the guidance of the depth of sight formed by the reefs and water surface, the person sits exactly at the visual focus, both highlighting the atmospheric sense of the summer seaside and beautifully restoring that agility and coquettishness of the character from Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World.

Although shooting the entire set of pictures left me both soaked and wind-blown by the water, seeing that natural and unforced feeling in the final cuts makes me feel it was completely worth it. Without too many deliberate arrangements, just standing, catching the breeze, looking at the water surface, and then freezing that moment of coolness and ease—this state of shooting close to nature is exactly the effect I wanted for this seaside photoshoot. I hope this set of final cuts allows everyone to feel my care in this shoot, and feel the summer breeze within the blue-and-white color palette.
