[Corin cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero maid's circular saw convention live record

The photos from attending the AF convention day have finally been organized, and this time I am sharing my convention photos of my favorite Corin from Zenless Zone Zero. This character costume took a lot of thought to make, from the overall black and white tone to the nurse-style headwear, and the iconic mint green twin tails. Every detail was hoped to be restored as close to the texture of the game's official art as possible. Especially that white nurse cap—I hand-stitched the green cross pattern on it little by little. Although there were many people at the convention site, wearing it still immediately drew focus to the character's occupational traits.

However, among the entire styling, what impressed me the most was the large teddy bear doll carried on my back and the huge circular saw prop held in my hand. That circular saw is truly the core soul of the entire outfit and the hardest prop to handle during this shoot. Its material is quite hard, and combined with the long handle and rotating disc design, holding it for a long time really tests arm strength—it's probably the true portrayal of my quote, 'The price of being an excellent maid.' In order to present the sharp yet mechanical visual effect of the chainsaw in the photos, I specifically used a bit of strength to grip it when posing. Fortunately, Azhuo was great at capturing the right timing during the shoot, successfully reflecting the character's gap moe vibe of 'looking sweet and cute despite holding a dangerous weapon.' The pink pendant hanging on the teddy bear plush necklace and the teddy bear backpack on the back also added many soft and cute details to this slightly cold and dark gothic maid outfit.

The convention's set design was also particularly on point. The fences, withered vines, black spider webs, and Halloween pumpkins at the scene, matched with the moon backdrop behind, directly maximized that eerie yet cute gothic fairytale atmosphere. Azhuo's photography style places great emphasis on the clarity of the image's lighting and the stereoscopic feel of the characters, so even in complex indoor top-lighting environments like conventions, the convention photos taken did not look flat, but instead well-reflected the luster of the black leather skirt and the contour lines of the leg straps and black boots. Posing in front of the fence and beside the pumpkins from various angles this time made me feel it wasn't just a simple check-in, but genuinely bringing the character into that miniature parallel world.

It was actually quite hot at the convention that day. Wearing a double-layered wig and heavy props while navigating through the crowds was truly a huge test of physical strength, but seeing the happy interactions of fellow hobbyists recognizing the character made me feel all the effort was totally worth it. The details of this outfit, including the metal buckles, white apron straps, and the black thigh rings paired with black stockings, all presented a great sense of layering during the shoot. Especially the shots sitting on that metal step stool or slightly stepping sideways, they could all well showcase the character's body advantages.

Although I always say 'Corin will definitely become an excellent maid,' actually balancing the atmosphere of coolness and cuteness indeed requires the photographer's aesthetic to add points. Azhuo has a very thorough understanding of ACG aesthetics. The moments of lifting the gaze, the frontal angles holding the chainsaw, and the state of turning back while in profile that he captured all made this version of Corin look exceptionally vivid. For me, every cosplay is a process of deeper dialogue with the character. The photos from this AF convention are not just a set of nice-looking pictures, but give me more practical realization of the perseverance and cuteness of the Zenless Zone Zero character.
