This time I prepared two completely different stylings for Remielle: one white and one black. Not only is the visual impact strong, but the shooting process was also very interesting. The focus of the white set lies in layering; a large amount of ruffles, lace, and chiffon intertwine, which can easily look bulky. To maintain a lightweight feel in front of the lens, the inner skeleton structure was lightened. The light blue neck ornament and ribbons are the finishing touches, adding a hint of freshness. The white wings are very large, and the arrangement of the feathers required time to groom to ensure a soft rim light could be reflected under specific lighting. In terms of makeup, it leaned toward pink tones, with a water-gloss finish on the lips, which, paired with the white elf ears, made the overall look relatively soft.
The material of the black set is completely different, utilizing some semi-transparent black sheer gauze and fabric with a leather-like texture, with the white cross stars on the skirt hem applied by hand. The black wings have a tougher texture, and the sharpness of the edges requires attention during post-processing and lighting to avoid losing details. The black garter stockings that everyone cares about actually used anti-slip adhesive and adjustable buckles to prevent slipping during movement when wearing them; paired with black high heels, the leg-stretching effect is fantastic. The makeup for this set deepened the eyeshadow blending, and the lip color was changed to a redder tone with higher saturation. To highlight the texture of the black color during the shoot, the photographer adjusted the light positions, projecting contour light against a pure white background to make the character's edges clearer.
Regarding poses, the white styling mostly featured restrained postures like gently caressing or hugging knees, emphasizing ethereal grace and softness. The black styling attempted more dynamic poses such as single-knee kneeling and holding props. Especially when shooting semi-transparent materials, utilizing the light penetration of the high-key background wonderfully showcased the clothing texture and body shape. The wig trimming retained straight bangs, sideburns were slightly adjusted according to face shape, and the cross-star hair ornaments were fixed with hairspray to prevent slipping. The elf ear props were fixed to the auricles using skin wax and special effects glue, requiring seamless integration with the original ears from a profile view, and special attention had to be paid to edge transitions during touch-ups. The entire shooting process was essentially a constant adjustment of details, from the fit of the clothing to the stability of the props, with every aspect testing on-the-spot reactions. Lighting a high-key background actually tests the prop's light-blocking properties quite a bit; the black wings were prone to over-reflection under strong light, so we sprayed a layer of matte paint on the surface of the wings. The white wings required attention to bottom shadows, utilizing floor lights for fill-in to eliminate dead black corners. The fit of the elf ears directly affected the smoothness of profile shots, and this time the edges of the ears were specially polished to be thinner.
