[Keqing Cosplay] Sharing Costume Details and Photoshoot Daily Life of Genshin Impact's Keqing

I spent quite a lot of time researching this Keqing outfit, from the wig styling to the sleeve stitching, especially the patterns on the black tights—adjusting angles multiple times just to give them a three-dimensional look before the camera. As a Genshin Impact player, having a C3 Keqing does feel like a bit of luck on my side. Taking advantage of the Genshin Impact Creator Incentive Program, I shot a set of mirror selfies this time. Compared to studio shoots, a home-style cosplay self-photo studio vibe is much more casual, authentically recreating the feel of wearing this outfit in daily life. The benefit of shooting directly with a phone is high flexibility, allowing me to monitor light and shadow changes in the lens at any time.

The purple shade of the wig is actually quite picky with skin tones and can easily make the skin look dull if not handled well, so I made some lighter adjustments to my base makeup and lip color to blend better with the wig's color. The water-ripple fabric of the sleeves is very light, yet drapes nicely without looking bulky. Although the platform shoes look a bit heavy, they are actually very stable on foot, making them a great choice for standing and holding poses. The halter-neck design of the dress exposes the shoulder lines, which, paired with the sleeves, visually elongates the silhouette.

During the shoot, the plush carpet provided a great color contrast, keeping the deep purple and light blue outfit from looking overly dark in the frame. This casual daily presentation is actually quite testing on mood and emotion, because in an ordinary bedroom environment, one must maintain character feel without appearing overly forced. I chose to alternate between sitting and standing poses to showcase the layered effect when the skirt unfolds. Keqing's capable and agile temperament in-game is somewhat difficult to fully replicate in selfies, so I tried my best to capture the right feeling through my gaze and hand gestures.

Honestly, doing cosplay is sometimes just giving oneself a reason to seriously appreciate a beautiful design. The details of the costume are handled very well, especially the bow at the waist and the gold ornaments on the sleeves—the texture easily shines through even across a screen. Most of the selfie session was spent conversing with myself in the mirror to find the most suitable framing. Post-processing only involved slightly adjusting the lighting without too many modifications, as the raw image state was already very close to the authenticity I desired. Having played Genshin Impact for so long, being able to present my favorite character through Roleplay cosplay is inherently a very happy thing that doesn't need to be overly complicated.
