As a January Squad birthday project, this Fate/Grand Order set featuring Tamamo no Mae and Saber was my first photoshoot of 2025. Beyond modeling, I also took on the role of photographer, making the entire conceptual and shooting journey thoroughly engaging.

Starting with Tamamo no Mae's styling: to emphasize her languid, cozy, and subtly alluring charm, I paired a pink wig with fluffy fox ears and a tail, deliberately selecting an oversized off-the-shoulder chunky grey knit sweater over denim shorts, finished with black over-the-knee Stockings. This textural contrast and off-the-shoulder silhouette gained rich depth under warm indoor lighting. Using a wooden coffee table and white porcelain teacups as props, capturing the pouring tea shot while flattering the collarbone and shoulder lines required numerous adjustments to profile angles and focal lengths, ultimately yielding a wonderful atmosphere.

Saber's styling went in a completely different visual direction: blonde hair paired with a black fitted turtleneck sweater and an asymmetrical denim mini skirt. This look relied on cooler tones, expansive white sheer drapery, and a grey sofa to shape a clean, cool, and effortless everyday aura. Prepared props like a clear glass cup and a white plush toy complemented her natural seated posture on the sofa, enhancing the cool yet approachable contrast.

Because this was a Birthday photoshoot, we placed deep emphasis on emotional resonance and detail control. For the set dressing, I deliberately selected a warm interior featuring pampas grass backdrops, using a wide aperture to emphasize the subjects with soft background bokeh, maximally highlighting the texture of the Stockings and knit patterns. In post-processing, skin tones and fabric textures were carefully preserved without excessive smoothing, using color grading to unify the frames within warm indoor lighting. When both characters shared the frame, extending across the wooden table made their interaction appear organic and natural. Juggling both modeling and photography was challenging, but the process was joyful and the final results deeply satisfying.
