[Tamamo no Mae Cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Volleyball Trainee in the Gymnasium - Image 1

Getting straight to the point, this is a complete Cosplay photoshoot set for Tamamo no Mae's gym uniform look from Fate/Grand Order, shot in an indoor gymnasium.

The material of this gym uniform was actually thicker than expected; the white base color paired with red trim accents feels breathable yet form-fitting. The chest badge and red shoulder stripes turned out quite accurate, and the athletic shorts were very comfortable, allowing a natural athletic state throughout the shoot.

The two beast ears on top of my head were the essence of this look. The brown and white fur took on a soft sheen under sunlight. The long pink hair was styled into a voluminous high ponytail, though because the bangs and side locks were quite full, I had to keep adjusting them by hand during the shoot to prevent covering my gaze.

Natural light in the venue was strong, especially during the late afternoon when sunlight streamed in from a side angle. The photographer utilized strong backlighting to outline a beautiful rim light along my cheeks and arms, making the pink hair look almost radiant. The background scoreboard served as the most brilliant real prop, its large red numbers echoing the red neckline of the jersey to create visual color balance.

The blue, yellow, and white volleyball in hand was actually a trickier prop to handle. To avoid making it look stiff, I used various single-hand cradling and light finger-resting poses. In the photo where I'm giving a thumb-up with my right hand and resting my left hand on the ball with a slightly forward-leaning center of gravity, I wanted to evoke a casual 'teasing break during practice' vibe.

Eyeshadow and lashes were kept subtle, as a clean and crisp makeup look naturally suits a sports-themed shoot best. Focus was placed on natural brow texture and a matte lip texture, which grounded the high-saturation pink wig without over-cluttering the face.

Balancing the tailored fit of the outfit with expansive movements meant frequently trying wider-range poses. For example, in the gesture pointing an index finger straight up, the photographer asked me to extend my arm straight and drop my shoulders to create an upright, poised silhouette. Coupled with the large volume of the beast ears, I also had to stay mindful of head angles so the ears wouldn't feel abrupt at the frame's edge.

For post-processing color grading, we refrained from forcing an overly pale-white skin tone, choosing instead to preserve warm ambient tones in the environment. Light reflecting off the gymnasium floor gave depth to dark shadows in the lower-right corner. We pulled back highlights slightly so the white uniform wouldn't blow out, preserving fabric textures for an overall more natural look.

This was a rarely attempted style for me, as I usually lean toward more formal or ornate characters. This clean Anime sporty style allowed a refreshing state of expression. In the quiet gym with only us and the bouncing sound of the volleyball, the shoot was focused and highly productive.

That wraps up the share for this Gymnastics uniform cosplay shoot. Thank you to everyone reading this far!
