This 2026 New Year dress design really hit home for me. The deep purple velvet fabric exhibits very delicate light and shadow transitions under the lights. To capture this texture, we put quite a bit of thought into the lighting setup. The golden star metal pieces on the clothes paired with the thick red braided rope knot on the chest combine a festive joy with the character's inherent gorgeous and slightly oppressive temperament. For the wig, I deliberately trimmed the arc of the blunt bangs to make it fit the face shape better. The eye makeup used blue-purple colored contact lenses, deepening the eyeshadow contour to make the gaze look colder and more glamorous. The leg details must be praised: semi-transparent black stockings paired with leg rings featuring small pink flower balls and tassels add overall layering. The side-lying posture tests core strength tremendously; to showcase beautiful leg lines, the angle of the high heels was adjusted several times. The studio set design was very thoughtful, with the golden Baroque-style high-backed chair and semi-transparent paper umbrella serving as foreground and background, combined with the mirrored reflection on the ground, directly maximizing the atmosphere. Holding a folding fan with a black background and gold powder, the semi-covered face look is particularly photogenic. During the shoot, we kept trying different fan angles, trying to make the interaction between the gaze and the lens stronger, utilizing the fan's cover to create that half-hidden mystery. The wrinkles of the skirt hem and the purple-white fabric on the ground were also repeatedly arranged to appear more natural and less rigid in front of the lens. Originally, a friend specially made an exquisite badge, agreeing to bring it as an important prop for this shoot, but after a flurry of tossing things around before going out, I realized once arriving at the studio that it was completely left at home, which is really a bit regretful. I can only find another opportunity next time to do a reshoot including it. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the state of this shoot; the purple main color tone combined with cool-toned lighting fully presented the desired atmosphere. The light and shadow casting on the velvet material, paired with the ground reflection, made the whole frame look very spacious.
