[Sakiko Toyokawa cosplay & Wakaba Mutsumi cosplay] BanG Dream! Girls' Bond Daily Life

This BanG Dream! Sailor suit cosplay photoshoot of Sakiko Toyokawa and Wakaba Mutsumi was shot on a pedestrian bridge with glass guardrails. The overall environment is very transparent, with pink bougainvillea blooming nearby. We wore dark blue long-sleeved Sailor suits, paired with gray bowties and pleated skirts. To restore the characters, the wig grooming and eye makeup color matching were adjusted many times. The curls of the blue hair and the braids on top of the head needed to be pinned up a bit, and the black and gold ribbons on both sides were also carefully adjusted in position. On the green hair side, the blunt bangs and long straight hair settings were retained, matched with yellowish-green contact lenses and reddish-pink eyeshadow, trying our best to make the characters' temperament look natural and harmonious in the third dimension.

The lighting on the day of the shoot was relatively soft, without strong direct light. The photographer "Lan Bailan Bai" is great at capturing details, not letting us intentionally strike exaggerated poses, but instead letting us walk and stop on the bridge. The back-to-back standing posture actually tests the two people's perception of each other's posture—we couldn't lean entirely together, nor could we be too far apart, maintaining a delicate balance, which also appropriately corresponds to the somewhat distant yet mutually bound relationship between Sakiko and Mutsumi. For the hand-holding interaction shots, to capture a natural feeling, we tried back and forth several times. The perspective-rich frame with both hands reaching forward was shot by the photographer using a wide-angle lens up close; because the distance was very close, focusing was a bit difficult, but fortunately we completed it with tacit cooperation.

The long shots of crouching and standing postures, as well as the composition of back views and front eye contact, all utilize the depth of field of the pedestrian bridge. The skirt of this Sailor suit has a great drape; the lines of the pleats are very clear when standing straight, and the shape of the skirt hem can be maintained when crouching. That day I wore black calf Stockings and brown small leather shoes; with a little wind while walking on the bridge, the combination of calf Stockings and leather shoes added a lot of campus atmosphere to the final photos and became a relatively eye-catching little detail in the frame. In the follow-shot frames of the back views, the depth of field of the pedestrian bridge is exceptionally good, with distant buildings and trees blurred just right, shooting out a strong sense of story as if we are walking side by side towards the distance.

Producing this set of pictures is actually quite physically demanding, because we had to constantly maintain the relatively quiet and introverted states of the characters. However, seeing the final photos, I feel that the sunlight, breeze, and effort of that day were not in vain. The emotional bond between Sakiko Toyokawa and Wakaba Mutsumi is very delicate, and we were doing our best to restore this feeling through gaze and body language. This shoot also gave me more experience in Sailor suit style photography, such as using natural light and glass reflections outdoors to shoot a very clean texture. Not too many words are needed between the two of them; a single look or a hand-holding action can convey enough information. I hope everyone will like this set of photos.
