[Hsin cosplay] Wuthering Waves Hsin Convention photos: Red and black combat suit with fluffy fox ears

This set of Convention photos from the comic con turned out wonderfully, making all the effort spent on styling and props completely worthwhile. The core highlight of the entire look is the costume's color harmony. The main piece is a black one-piece mini dress with white lace trimming at the collar, complemented by loose, flared red bell sleeves accented with golden trim along the edges. To enhance the overall volume and layering, I styled it with a white plush stole, which echoes the fluffy fox ears on my head nicely. The chest accessory is one of my favorite details: a hollowed-out golden frame inlaid with a blue gem, flanked by red ribbon bows, and finished with dangling gold chains and a red teardrop pendant that carries substantial presence with every step. The skirt features a high slit design that visually elongates the leg lines, which, paired with silver strappy high-heeled sandals, gives the entire figure a sleeker silhouette.

For the wig, I selected a long, wavy silver-white style with blunt bangs, subtly accented with dark gray highlights throughout. The enormous fox ears on top are the centerpiece of the look; the inner ears feature dark fluff while the outer side is pure white. To give them a more three-dimensional structure, I secured the base with golden metallic hair accessories and hairpins, which also added an exquisite touch. In terms of makeup, I intensified the reddish blend around the eyes and added a subtle flush to my cheeks and the tip of my nose to highlight the character's lively spirit. Red totem temporary tattoos were applied to my collarbones, chest, and arms, offering crisp visual focal points on camera.

The featured prop was a folding fan bordered with white fur, which not only helped with posing but also brought textural consistency with the stole and fox ears. We picked an outdoor terrace for the location, with modern glass-curtain skyscrapers as the backdrop. The collision between urban architecture and 2D fantasy styling created a dramatic visual contrast. The abundant sunlight that day carved out clear facial contours; I used the shadows cast by the building edges to balance the light ratios, capturing frontal, profile, and interactive reaching poses. The first shot showcases the overall standing posture and leg lines, the second zooms in on the chest details and facial nuances, while the third uses the fan to partially veil the face, evoking a serene ambiance. This outfit demands a very tailored fit, so the cinched waist and slit placement had to be double-checked beforehand to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions.

The on-site lighting presented some challenges, as the glass facades caused numerous messy reflections. I found a few cleaner angles and utilized the skyscraper shadows as backdrops, keeping the visual focus strictly on the subject. Caring for the wig during an outdoor shoot is equally vital; silver-white hair easily blows out under harsh sun, so during post-selection, I made sure to preserve highlight details along the hair strands. The makeup held up very well throughout the convention. Since it was quite hot, I used plenty of setting spray and loose powder; aside from a single lipstick touch-up, nothing melted. Plush props tend to attract dust outdoors, so bringing a lint roller next time will be essential for similar materials. Looking at the final results, the black, red, and gold palette delivered high visual impact under bright daylight, and showcasing this costume's intricacies required seamless posing coordination. The final shots met my expectations completely—the setting and wardrobe matched harmoniously, making for a truly smooth photoshoot experience.
