This set of Convention photos featuring Yutori Natsu from Blue Archive was shot outdoors at ChinaJoy. With long pink hair, a halo prop overhead, a cropped white sailor top with a dark collar and red ribbon tie, paired with a dark pleated skirt and black thigh-highs, the entire ensemble appeared vibrant and crisp under natural outdoor light. Before shooting, I consulted briefly with the photographer, aiming primarily to capture shots that flatter leg lines and overall body proportions. Wearing thigh-highs and thick-soled white shoes naturally steered my posing toward leg lifts and glance-back standing stances. The outdoor sun was quite intense and the surrounding architecture had harsh lines, so we utilized a shallow depth of field to melt the background into soft bokeh, ensuring the subject remained the primary focus. With the cropped top and pleated skirt, managing the skirt's movement during poses was essential. The photographer reviewed several test frames that were centrally composed; since direct facial lighting was limited, we shifted angles repeatedly to catch candid, lively gestures. Given the massive crowds, finding clean framing along the plaza's perimeter required patience. The uniform's fabric had great texture, and the red bow tie popped nicely alongside the pink wig and halo. To keep compositions dynamic, I integrated hand gestures like lightly tugging strands of hair and playful poses. Post-processing focused on authentic skin tones and hair texture rather than drastic warping, prioritizing expressive eyes and facial nuances. Compared to controlled studio shoots, the natural daylight added genuine liveliness to the character's spirited charm.
