This official shoot was dedicated to faithfully recreating the classic looks from Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. From commissioning the custom outfits to receiving the wigs, preparation took roughly a month. Stocking's long blue hair features pink inner highlights; achieving the gradient across the tips required multi-layered dyeing, and styling took considerable time—I even packed several bottles of conditioning spray to keep the fibers silky smooth on set. On the wardrobe side, the blue heart accent on the chest and the tiered white ruffled hemline were pivotal, and the waist ties needed careful adjustment to fit seamlessly. Recreating the asymmetrical leg design, I wore a blue-and-white striped thigh-high stocking on one leg while keeping the other bare with strappy heeled sandals, demanding extra mindfulness while walking. The rifle prop in hand was crafted from EVA foam and PVC piping with a painted finish; holding it for extended takes revealed surprising weight.

On shoot day, we chose a white studio framed with cutout screens, black hanging chains, crimson drapes, and scattered red petals on the floor, creating high chromatic contrast. For Panty cosplay, her golden blonde wig was teased for maximum airy volume, with wings mounted on her back; when sitting together, our relative spacing and skirt placement required continual adjustments. Beyond managing facial expressions, bodily poise was vital—because the skirts are rather short, both seated and standing poses had to balance aesthetic elegance with proper garment showcasing. Duo photography tests synchronization above all: sometimes exchanging glances, other times locking eyes with the lens. To capture that signature blend of sassy playfulness and edgy coolness, the photographer guided our posing throughout—refining prop grips and angling legs to elongate silhouette lines. The session moved at a rapid clip, with ample time spent touching up makeup and smoothing wigs between takes. From styling to the final frames, we poured our hearts into channeling that 2D anime aesthetic, and we hope you love this vibrant clash of colors.
