Today's set features Megumi Kato's very classic casual outfit. The red-and-white color-blocked knitted cardigan paired with a white ruffled shirt, along with the thin black ribbon at the neckline as the soul embellishment of the whole coordination, instantly maximizes the character's recognizability. For the lower body, a white layered lace skirt was chosen, which produces natural folds when walking, paired with white Stockings with lace trims and black strap Mary Jane shoes, perfectly recreating the everyday feel from the anime while maintaining visual lightness. To recreate Megumi Kato's heroine temperament—which seems ordinary yet is deeply charming—a lot of thought went into trimming the wig. The length of the bob cut, the thickness of the blunt bangs, and the curvature of the sideburns on both sides all required fine-tuning based on face shape; a slight misstep would make it look rigid or heavy. In terms of makeup, the focus was placed on the eye makeup: natural-style circle lenses were used to enlarge the pupils, paired with an ultra-thin inner eyeliner and a hint of aegyo-sal shadow to create that innocent yet gentle gaze. The base makeup pursued a clear and translucent feel without heavy concealer; light pink blush was chosen and lightly brushed under the eyes and on the apples of the cheeks to add a girlish shy feel. The lip makeup used a glossy pink lip glaze, making the lips look plump and moisturized. The shooting location this time was chosen on outdoor stairs and a rooftop. These places carry a natural everyday atmosphere, fitting Megumi Kato's frequently visited stages, and can capture a narrative sense without too many complex sets. In pose design, there was no deliberate posing of exaggerated postures—for instance, standing there dazed while holding a plush hat, leaning gently on the white railing to gaze into the distance, or turning sideways to look back at the lens. What I wanted to capture was her inadvertent cuteness. When the rooftop wind blew through the hair, it truly felt like nailing the character's quiet, translucent atmosphere. During the shoot, I intentionally relaxed my shoulders and let my gaze drift slightly to present an effortless, relaxed state. Regarding lighting, outdoor natural light was utilized. To make the frames present the clear, translucent feel of Japanese photography, some frontal light or side-backlight angles were sought during shooting. The white clothes and red cardigan formed a strong color contrast under the sunlight, making them very eye-catching. Post-processing slightly adjusted the curves and reduced highlight contrast, making the image look cleaner, softer, and carrying a hint of early summer breeze. The most attractive part of Megumi Kato as a character is probably her trait of seeming inconspicuous yet bringing warmth and peace of mind in subtle ways. She doesn't have an exaggerated personality, but she can always quietly accompany those around her. This photo set also aims to showcase her unique, everyday relaxed vibe as much as possible, and I hope everyone will love this quiet heroine.
