The stream water at the end of September already carried a noticeable chill, but it fit the theme of this shoot perfectly. This official photoshoot features Cirno from Touhou Project, and the entire outfit was handcrafted by Master A'caicai. The moment I received the costume, I was deeply moved by the details. Ice blue was chosen as the main color tone, with extensive use of lightweight lace, tulle, and a layered skirt structure to create a translucent visual effect.
The red bow on the chest is the crowning touch of the entire look, adding a splash of bright color to the overall cool palette. Paired with the hairpiece, elf ears, and the iconic ice crystal wing props, the character's recognition instantly stood out. On location, we chose a natural outdoor stream as our setting. Standing barefoot on moss-covered rocks with the water washing over my feet, this genuine physical contact with the environment made the photoshoot incredibly immersive.
Special thanks to the photographer, Shopkeeper DD. He is exceptionally skilled at utilizing natural light, capturing light and shadow through the gaps between leaves to deliver a very transparent texture. To improve the success rate during the shoot, we switched positions between the rocks multiple times. My movements had to stay stable without appearing stiff, conveying that refreshing yet mischievous feel of Cirno. Whether it was the tranquility while sitting quietly or the agility while standing in the water, everything was beautifully recorded in this set. This costume actually has quite a bit of weight, but the process of adjusting my posture to express a sense of agility was highly entertaining. I hope this set of photos can convey that unique charm belonging to Cirno from the Touhou fan creation universe as a perfect example of an outdoor cosplay featuring an anime girl.
