[Theresa Cosplay] Arknights Ephemeral Azure Thunder: Quiet Moments of Remembrance

When deciding to cosplay this memorial outfit for Theresa, I knew early on that the focus shouldn't be on large movements, but rather on emotional stillness and restraint. The main black tone can be very tricky with lighting; using strong, hard light would make the look appear too sharp, completely straying from the theme of 'remembrance' and the gentle feel that Rhodes Island evokes. That is why we specifically chose a pure white set with Gothic architecture.

The white openwork arches in the background and the white feather decorations displayed on both sides serve to contrast and highlight the depth of the character's attire. Against such a vast pure white backdrop, the black dress does not look out of place at all; instead, it becomes the visual focal point. The material of the feathers is very fluffy, and under side-backlighting, the edges glow with a soft light, bringing out rich layers across the entire frame.

Moving on to the headpiece, the black high crown wrapped with golden vines is truly exquisite. You have to be careful with the angle when wearing it; it cannot be placed too far back, or else the camera will only capture the tiara while ignoring facial details. During the shoot, I also had to adjust my pink hair from time to time so it could drape naturally over my shoulders and skirt. For example, in the second picture where I lean against the Roman column, I had to sweep the hair to one side so it flowed along the lines of my body, creating a better sense of extension.

The hand bouquet was another key prop for this look. Inside the arrangement, there were not only blue flowers but also a small plush rabbit. I actually brought that rabbit myself because I felt that in such a quiet atmosphere, a soft item with animal elements fits Rhodes Island's warm, human-centered setting better. Holding the bouquet naturally without letting my arms ruin the composition took several adjustments to find the most comfortable pose.

As for the makeup, we emphasized transparency and lightness this time. Since the outfit itself carries significant visual weight, a heavy makeup look would make the overall impression feel dull and oppressive. Therefore, I opted for a soft earth-tone eyeshadow to deepen the contours, paired with defined, natural eyebrow strokes and a soft pink lip gloss. This combination gave my eyes life while maintaining a light, delicate sense of melancholy.

Controlling the scene throughout the shoot was quite a challenge. Wearing a voluminous petticoat and a long gown makes moving around far less convenient than usual, so most adjustments involved small-range movements, conveying emotion through subtle shifts in the upper body, arms, and gaze. Although the shoot wasn't particularly time-consuming, it required maintaining a high level of mental focus; with emotion-driven pieces like this, the moment you relax, the light in your eyes fades.

Looking back at the final shots, I am personally very satisfied with this cold yet soft texture. It isn't a pure sorrow, but rather feels like a quiet afternoon where someone is flipping through an old photo album with a soft sense of longing and remembrance. Through this piece, I feel I have tangibly presented my understanding of Theresa along with my own warm memories of Rhodes Island.
