The last official photo set of 2025 has wrapped up, and I chose this look featuring intricate lace and classical elements to close out my New Year's Eve shoot. The shooting location on the evening of the 26th was set up with a wonderful atmosphere. Translucent lace umbrellas, lanterns, and flags with red and white emblems were paired together, and with pink blossoms cascading down in front and on both sides of the scene, it created a beautiful cinematic feel. For this specific look, the wig's layered structure was intentionally adjusted. To accommodate the thickness of the headpiece, a certain amount of volume was added to the top, and the sides were styled with slight curls. This ensured that the head shape remained well-proportioned and didn't look too wide when wearing the bonnet embroidered with lace and light blue tulle. In terms of makeup, to match the overall light palette of pink, blue, and white, the base makeup was kept as clean and translucent as possible. The colored contact lenses were a pinkish-purple shade to echo the tone of the costume. The eye makeup was relatively simple, avoiding heavy, dark eyeliner and instead focusing on highlighting the under-eye area and softly blending the eyeshadow, creating an ethereal yet natural look. The layers of lace ruffles on the choker and shoulders were gorgeous but extremely tedious to put on and take off. Not only did we need to secure the puffiness, but we also had to make sure each layer of lace revealed its intended depth. To achieve that final rich and exquisite visual effect, patiently adjusting it on-site was an indispensable step. Midway through the shoot, the camera battery started warning us, showing only 8% and 7% left, and the memory card was almost full. We could feel the pace of the shoot quickening, but the photographer 'Yushen' still managed the lighting and camera positions with incredible stability. Under the settings of a large F2.0 aperture and ISO 100-250, the texture of the costume and the beautiful foreground bokeh were perfectly captured. Looking back at 2025, I pushed myself to complete around 20 official photo sets throughout the year. Most of the looks were realized by painstakingly refining the details step by step, without cutting any corners. Wrapping up the year with the Touhou Project series has put a relatively complete period to this year's photography journey. Over the next few days, it’s definitely time to organize the massive amount of raw photos and do a proper 2025 Year-End Summary and reflection for myself.
