A lot of thought went into this Robin cosplay Original setting photo set, from selecting the design to the actual shoot. The main body of the dress is a rhinestone tube top, paired with champagne satin statement sleeves and a slit skirt. The rhinestones and Sequin dress are especially prone to reflecting studio lights; during initial test shots, harsh direct light caused severe overexposure, making facial shadows impossible to control. Later, I asked the photographer to switch the key light to a softbox and add a reflector on the side to balance the lighting, which resolved the harsh glare.
To match the Original setting style, I styled the top with a golden halo and white petals, adorned translucent wing accessories on both sides of my ears, and wore a blue-purple gradient wig with blue contact lenses, creating a cohesive visual aesthetic. The pearl necklace also accentuated the collarbone, making the upper body look even more refined and bringing out a Dreamy ethereal vibe.
For the first shot, I turned to look back over my shoulder facing away from the mirror, primarily to showcase the gradient layers of the long hair in the back and the overall silhouette. For the second seated shot, I chose to cross my legs and stretch them forward, highlighting the linear flow of the slit skirt; this posture flattered my figure, and the overlapping tulle and satin textures produced stunning light-and-shadow effects under side backlighting. There was also a black piano in the studio. To complement the white European-style carved relief wall, the lighting was dimmed so the subject could stand out vividly.
The most troublesome part during the shoot was managing the voluminous satin sleeves; because the fabric easily wrinkles, it needed readjusting every time I moved to ensure it draped smoothly along the body's lines. At the same time, this shoot tested makeup longevity—the rhinestones and sequins reflected light, and the lens captured details sharply, requiring repeated touch-ups on eyeshadow and base makeup.
Post-processing involved no drastic retouching, focusing instead on fine-tuning the contrast between warm and cool tones, preserving the crystalline brilliance of the reflective fabric while slightly deepening the background shadows to create a calmer, more serene ambiance. Incorporating the character's Headcanon / Original setting traits, this attempt blended gorgeous fabric textures with a Dreamy ethereal vibe, aiming to maximize and showcase an alternative allure of the character within a limited setting.
