[March 7th cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail March 7th (The Hunt) Bamboo forest location shoot Cosplay photoshoot

This time shooting the cosplay photoshoot of March 7th (The Hunt), I specially chose a bamboo forest location shoot as the outdoor setting. The red, black, and white battle robe stood out prominently against the backdrop of green leaves, though the heavy layering of this outfit did somewhat restrict movement once worn. The prop long sword held in hand has an abundance of details, with the blue and red gemstones on the hilt being the finishing touch. The wig is styled into pink double buns; to trim out a natural hair-flow feel, a lot of time was spent styling the hairline and sideburns, and the hair accessories were also fixed very carefully. The makeup focused on eyeshadow and blush, and the blue-purple contact lenses made the gaze look closer to the original design.

The lighting conditions on the shooting day were very good, with dappled sunlight filtering through the bamboo forest. Outdoor shooting always means facing various minor challenges, such as uneven ground, flying bugs, and occasional breezes that always mess up the wig. To maintain the character's lively and light feeling, I had to constantly adjust my center of gravity when posing. The clothing design around the waist and shoulders has great layering, and the metal accessories are very textured, which adds a lot of points during close-up shots.

To fit the theme of "all work and no play makes smart March a bit silly," I specially prepared a cup of bubble tea as an interactive prop. Holding the sword in my right hand in a combat-ready stance while holding the bubble tea in my left hand captured that contrasting vibe of being a cool March 7th (The Hunt) while also retaining a bit of a gluttonous and playful personality. When shooting the sword-swinging action, because the gloves are fingerless, extra anti-slip stickers were needed for a secure grip on the sword. In terms of lighting, natural light combined with a reflector was mainly used to reduce facial shadows. Post-processing color grading tried its best to retain the high saturation of the red clothing, avoiding excessive skin smoothing while preserving true skin texture. The overall presentation effect is quite satisfying, successfully showcasing both the character's lively temperament and her combat state.
