[Rappa Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Nanning Autumn Festival Day 2 Break Team Girl Convention Photos

I went as Rappa for Nanning Autumn Festival Day 2 and shot a set of convention photos that I absolutely love. The photographer was Xiaozhe Luguo, who very professionally helped me record many beautiful moments.

Cosplaying this character was actually quite a challenge. Rappa's costume incorporates a lot of irregular color block stitching and strap designs, especially the cropped T-shirt on the upper body—the pattern looks simple, but a lot of thought went into its tailoring. For the hairstyle, it's pink short hair, topped with a hat featuring two sharp red horns and hanging thin black cords. To ensure the hat was stable, the fixation method inside the hair accessories and the hat itself was referenced directly from the character's original design.

The lower body features black denim shorts and a white belt with a star buckle, paired with that thin red cord wrapped around the hips and legs, and topped off with black platform open-toe high-heel long boots and fishnet stockings. The overall look is indeed full of vitality and street style. This asymmetrical visual effect requires special attention to angling during the shoot.

In terms of equipment, the weapon I am holding has a highly unique design with a red, black, white, and silver color scheme, featuring curved blade structures at both ends and a circular detail in the middle. When posing with it, I had to ensure proper hand strength while balancing the weapon's center of gravity, but fortunately, the physical prop is moderate in weight and wasn't particularly tiring.

As for the shooting environment, the lighting on Day 2 of the Autumn Festival was relatively soft. The background of white tile walls and metal railings was quite suitable for capturing such a color-rich character. We explored several different angles, trying everything from front views to side profiles and half-squatting postures one by one. Among them, crouching down perfectly showcased the details of the thigh straps and black platform shoes, concentrating the overall visual effect nicely. Other sets of poses, like one hand on the hip or holding the hat while baring the waist and abdomen, also maxed out that confident, crisp aura.

Regarding the "Break team girl" and "out of meta" memes mentioned in the title: as the coser portraying this character, I don't really obsess over combat strength tier lists or meta shifts. Being able to cosplay a character I love, accurately restoring her inherent style and temperament, and doing something I find meaningful is a joy in itself.

I was incredibly happy when many friends recognized me at the convention and asked for photos or shared their snaps. The atmosphere of this offline communication and interaction is entirely different from the online experience. Therefore, this set of images serves as a small summary of my journey to Nanning Autumn Festival Day 2. Although every cosplay requires waking up early to prepare makeup and hair, as well as carrying props and clothing back and forth to the exhibition hall, seeing the finished photos truly makes all the hard work feel worthwhile.

Certain details of the costume have a wonderful texture under the venue lights. The red-and-black color palette of the jacket matches the graffiti prints perfectly. The combination of the red trim on the boots and the fishnet stockings forms a great visual transition. Big thanks to photographer Xiaozhe Luguo for recording these moments; the composition and lighting are highly natural, avoiding any forced over-editing, and the base of the raw photos was already excellent.

Moving forward, I will continue to work hard to bring more characters I'm interested in to future conventions. I hope to run into more friends who love cosplay at future Nanning exhibitions to exchange the joy of shooting.
