[Zhen Hai Cosplay] Azur Lane: The Eastern Rhythm of a Black Qipao and Long Gloves - Image 2

When I got this Zhen Hai qipao cosplay outfit, I was immediately attracted by the exquisite color scheme of interwoven black and gold. When taking this set of photos today, I happened to be in a room with wooden floors and light-colored furniture. That warm and bright environment actually made the dark clothing appear more composed and delicate.

In terms of styling design, what struck me most about this outfit was actually the side cut-out and the golden pendant details on the chest. The combination of black long gloves and black stockings gives the overall look a highly layered feel. Putting on these clothes and holding a black feather fan with gold embellishments in my hand felt as if I was instantly immersed in a gentle, intellectual, and slightly playful atmosphere. In the first photo, I chose to sit on a cream-white padded chair with my legs crossed, wearing a pair of glossy black pointed stiletto high heels. In reality, this sitting posture heavily tests one's center of gravity—you have to maintain elegant lines while ensuring an upright posture. The process of using the mirror as a picture frame for a mirror selfie was also quite interesting, as I could see the impact of micro-adjustments on the frame at any time. For instance, whether the hair accessory leaned a bit to the left or the shoulders relaxed slightly, I could get instant feedback from the mirror.

This black qipao, combined with the high side-slit design, really offers an excellent extension of the leg lines. The black stockings and patent leather high heels create subtle highlight reflections under the soft indoor lighting, and this contrast in materials keeps the frame from looking dull. When taking the second photo, I actually took off my shoes and switched to a posture where both legs naturally stretched forward with toes slightly flexed. This casual yet somewhat lazy state fits perfectly with the light and leisurely aura conveyed by the black feather fan prop. Although it was just a simple mirror selfie, from the handling of the prop to the blank space in my gaze, I wanted to express as much as possible the calm and unhurried style of the character Zhen Hai as she handles a chess game. For cosplay, creating the right atmosphere in the frame is sometimes more convincing than complex actions.

This shoot centered primarily around indoor lighting and the natural assistance of furniture, without using any exaggerated lighting setups. Instead, this natural light close to a home environment made the fabric texture of the qipao outfit and the luster on the stockings look very authentic. The makeup also took a relatively casual, light route, focusing heavily on highlighting the eye contours to match the overall black tone. The closing details of the long black gloves and the tassels on the feather fan added plenty of Eastern charm to the image. When adjusting my sitting posture, I paid special attention not to sit on the folds of the skirt hem; after all, with this kind of long gown design, once the fabric piles up, it loses its original draped quality. I am quite satisfied with the overall outcome. Although these are just some casual photos taken in private, I feel they showcase the gentle, intellectual, and slightly mysterious demeanor of Zhen Hai from Azur Lane. I also hope everyone can feel this low-key yet cleverly detailed visual texture, making it a very comforting shoot experience for my casual cosplay.

One final word on the immersive feeling: wearing this qipao and holding the feather fan, even though it was just me pressing the shutter in front of a mirror, it felt as if I could truly smell the scent of old times. I even felt a slight resonance in my movements with that mental state during a chess match—still as a virgin, swift as a fleeing hare. I hope every little detail in these photos can transmit this serene sense of beauty.
