[Firefly cosplay] Strolling the Streets in Honkai: Star Rail: A Casual Vibe with an Original Costume - Image 2

This time I'm cosplaying Firefly from Honkai: Star Rail, but instead of fully following her combat suit in the game, I put together an original costume look that leans towards a casual cosplay style. The white-and-blue gradient long wig paired with a dark headband visually retains Firefly's iconic cool tones, but adds a bit more approachability to the overall look. The top is a light-colored off-the-shoulder short-sleeved shirt stitched with sheer lace and ruffles, paired with a dark brown tiered skirt. The white lace stitching on the hem adds a touch of sweetness, making the overall color transition naturally from white to cyan and then to brown. For shoes, I paired black Mary Janes with white socks, a classic anime-style street combination.

The shoot location was chosen by the side of a street with green plants and a white guardrail, with passersby walking in the background. This slice-of-life setting actually makes this original costume look more natural. The first photo, where I raise my hand to touch my forehead, is meant to simulate a slightly relaxed, lazy state. The exact moment the shutter clicked captured the dynamic movement of the skirt swaying slightly, and the overall composition retains a bit of the environmental context, making it feel less artificial than a studio shoot. The second photo is a sideways shot lifting the skirt, trying to make the tiered layers of the skirt look more dimensional.

Since I put together this Firefly-style outfit myself, I tried to stay close to the character's aura in the details, such as the harmony between the cool white skin and the pale purple eyes, as well as that slightly cold yet soft gaze. Shot under outdoor natural light, there wasn't excessive post-processing, preserving some of the street photography texture. Trying to bring the character into everyday streets was quite fun; compared to a pure combat look, it offers a lot of freedom to express oneself. For the coordination, besides the clothes, the makeup also leans toward a clear and natural style, reducing heavy eyeshadow to make the overall atmosphere fit the setting of a "girl on a journey." I hope this set of photos can convey Firefly's other side outside of the game, serving as an extension of my understanding of the character.
