For this Robin styling, I particularly wanted to create an atmosphere combining a fairy tale gift box with the tranquility of the forest. After getting the wig, I spent a lot of time using a flat iron and styling spray to manage the direction of the hair strands. Light-purple hair can easily look frizzy if not handled properly, so I focused on giving natural curves to the bangs in the front and the long hair on both sides, while slightly padding up the crown to make the overall head shape look fuller. On both sides of the head, I added long white ribbon hair ornaments so that when lowering the head or turning sideways, the ribbons would have a natural drape following the movements.
This costume is a white-and-purple color-blocked Girl in Western-style dress. The upper body features a white strapless design; to prevent slipping or unsightly wrinkles during the shoot, I added plenty of internal fixation. The skirt hem is made of a reflective fabric spliced with purple ruffles; this material tends to produce highlights under lighting, placing high demands on shooting angles. Paired on the arms are long white ceremonial gloves with purple lace trims along the edges, echoing the purple of the skirt hem. The pearl necklace and white choker around the neck are indispensable details that enhance the sophistication of the overall styling, adding more layering to the line from the neck to the shoulders.
On the lower half, I wore White stockings. Under this skirt length, White stockings actually put leg shapes to a tough test, yet paired with the pink-and-purple diamond plaid pattern of the floor tiles, the overall visual effect turned out surprisingly harmonious. To showcase this outfit, I experimented with two seated poses. For the first shot, I chose to extend my legs toward the front left of the lens, holding a bouquet with both hands placed on my legs. This angle allows the skirt hem to spread out naturally while intuitively displaying the texture of White stockings and leg lines. To ensure even facial lighting during the shoot, the main light was positioned slightly forward, with side-backlighting just catching the hair strands and shoulders.
For the second picture, I changed poses, bending one leg while laying the other flat, tilting my body, supporting myself with my left hand on the ground, and holding the bouquet against my chest with my right hand. This action is mainly meant to showcase the shoulder-neck lines and collarbones of the upper body, while guiding the line of sight toward the bouquet and the character's face. The giant teddy bear and pink gift box nearby served as wonderful interactive props. Since the post mentioned the setting of being the cutest in the forest, I tried my best to maintain a quiet, contemplative state in my expression management, keeping my head slightly bowed throughout to gaze at the bouquet without making overly large or exaggerated expressions.
Regarding the issue of OOC, this costume itself is not the conventional default outfit, leaning more toward an extended Girl in Western-style dress design. However, because the overall colors match the character's temperament, when trying this set, I focused heavily on capturing the well-behaved and ethereal traits. There were actually plenty of minor episodes midway through the shoot; for instance, the reflective fabric of the skirt hem easily formed creases due to sitting postures, requiring me to reorganize it every few shots. The flowers in the bouquet were relatively delicate, demanding extra caution when changing poses.
Ultimately, achieving this kind of effect in the final photoset is primarily thanks to the color coordination of the scene. The pink and white gift boxes, the brown teddy bear, and the pink-and-purple plaid of the floor tiles surrounded the character in a relatively dreamy atmosphere. I didn't use heavy post-processing to alter the lighting and shadows; instead, I mainly preserved the soft lighting texture of the site, wanting everyone to feel that quiet atmosphere of daydreaming amidst a pile of gifts when looking at this set of pictures.
