On August 22nd, I went to the Genshin Impact collaboration with Meituan for the Snowpiercer pop-up event, styled around a Snezhnaya theme. Being a huge fan of Honkai: Star Rail's Robin, I specifically prepared this light-purple Robin cosplay look, paired with shimmering eye makeup and her halo headpiece. I opted for a casual JK-style outfit: a pastel lavender pleated plaid skirt, crisp white shirt, and purple cardigan, which made moving around and posing inside the crowded venue effortless without heavy fabrics getting in the way. The two photos shared today were captured directly at the venue. The first frame was taken beside a blue chalice-like installation bordered by gold chains and railings, framed by red, blue, and gold display boards that created wonderful spatial depth. The second frame is an interactive close-up using foreground perspective; reaching a hand toward the camera added engaging visual dialogue.

Lighting inside the mall was tricky, with harsh overhead fixtures threatening unflattering facial shadows. The photographer adjusted angles carefully while using a reflector for fill, followed by gentle retouching in post-production to keep the skin translucent and clean. I had restyled the wig just two days before, relying on hairspray, hidden clips, and clear fishing line to keep the halo balanced amid the bustling crowd. Due to continuous visitor queues at the photo spots, fast burst shooting was vital to seize these clean moments. The pop-up vibe was fantastic; Snezhnaya's icy blue palette complemented the train theme beautifully. The skirt cut flattered leg lines effortlessly while harmonizing with the lavender knit and golden halo, making for a smooth shoot and a wonderful day connecting with fellow fans.
