This look of Hyacinthia inherently carries a sweet and magical girl style aura within the character setting of Honkai: Star Rail. Therefore, the moment I received the costume design, I decided to capture that soft and sweet texture like a little cupcake. The feedback on-site at the convention today was also exceptionally good; passersby would all praise it as "so cute" upon seeing it, which feels truly amazing.

The character I'm cosplaying this time is Hyacinthia. The main costume utilizes red and white color-blocking, paired with a light blue inner bow tie and a splash of blue-green highlights at the hair tips, making the overall warm-and-cool contrast look especially vibrant. The coat has a crisp structure, with the collar and edges designed with a great sense of layering. The print on the skirt hem isn't a simple flat pattern either, but a three-dimensional subtle texture resembling water ripples, whose texture becomes particularly prominent under the flash. To match the character's lightweight feel, I specially paired it with pure white tights and black glossy platform shoes. The red and black two-tone bow at the ankle is the visual highlight of the entire lower body, which both tones down the monotony of white and echoes the red newsboy cap on top of my head.

As for the props, this staff can be called an ultimate tool for striking poses. The mint green transparent sphere on top creates a translucent effect under the venue's interior lighting, and the surrounding pink and blue petal-shaped decorations, combined with the golden metal frame, feel substantial yet gorgeous in hand. The white unicorn plush doll is also a major plus; doing solo interactions with it naturally exudes a sense of playfulness in every gesture.

The shooting environment inside the exhibition hall relies heavily on light, and this time we chose four different framing angles. The first pose of sitting sideways on the carpet lowers the center of gravity, presenting a very soft triangular composition for the overall silhouette; the second mid-shot close-up highlights the gaze and facial makeup, with blue contact lenses and a pink wig, making it visually striking enough; the third dynamic snapshot of standing on one leg is truly my favorite movement; the raised hand gesture maximizes the flowing feel of the entire cape; the fourth shot shows me sitting on a black metal high stool, casually crossing my legs with the prop staff gently resting by my hand. Putting these four convention photos together basically presents all of Hyacinthia's sweetness, agility, and gracefulness.

Honestly, it's not easy to capture a clean background with people constantly passing by in the hall; the photographer had to repeatedly search for angles to avoid the messy light sources behind. Although it was tiring today, seeing the photoshoot results makes all the effort feel worth it. The material selection of this outfit is also crucial; the red velvet fabric not only looks premium in front of the lens but also feels very soft to the touch. To keep the wig fluffy, I specifically spent a long time combing it before the shoot. These kinds of details truly determine the temperament of the entire Anime cosplay. What I am sharing this time is more than just a set of photos; it is a dedicated recreation of the character's traits. Compared to purely pursuing gorgeous special effects, I care more about that natural state when striking a pose. Hyacinthia's essence lies in that carefree yet slightly tsundere demeanor, so I habitually lower my center of gravity or use props to perform casual movements. The on-site photographer also mentioned that this naturally flowing relaxedness is the hardest to capture, yet what comes out is often the most touching.

Regarding the set this time, we didn't use too many complex physical backdrops because the character's own color scheme is already rich enough; the light-colored floor and white blanket serve as a better foil for her instead. Oh, by the way, I also really like the details on the bottom of the shoes. Although walking around the booths all day inevitably attracts dust, the combination of the black patent leather surface and the metal buckles is indeed very eye-catching. All in all, this styling and makeup for Hyacinthia is successfully completed, and being able to bring this work to the convention to exchange ideas with fellow fans makes me incredibly happy.
