Preparing this Honkai: Star Rail Robin Halcyon Song styling actually took a lot of thought in detail management. For this white-and-blue color-blocked swimsuit performance outfit, the star pattern on the top was intentionally chosen with glitter material, presenting a delicate reflective effect under natural light. The wig features a gradient from light blue to purple-white; to maintain this somewhat 2D anime-like lightness, I specifically used a flat iron to arrange the hair strands' direction before the shoot, and styled the hair ends' curve. In terms of makeup, bright green circle lenses were used, and the eye makeup was somewhat simplified, focusing on highlighting the inner corners of the eyes and making each eyelash distinct. Combined with the floating halo prop on top of the head made of thin golden threads and a bow, the overall atmospheric vibe was fully established.
The shooting location this time was chosen as an indoor pool; the combination of wooden decking, surfboards, lifebuoys, and broad-leaved green plants instantly filled the frame with a summer vacation ambiance. Actually, themes leaning towards summer style and cooling vibes are very suitable for interacting with props around you. For instance, sitting on a transparent yellow-and-green inflatable ring, I chose a posture of sitting sideways with crossed legs, which not only naturally elongates the leg lines but also showcases the details of the blue high heels and straps on the feet. Or half-lying on a wooden beach chair, raising one hand to lightly touch the halo while placing the other hand at the waist, utilizing the limb's extension to showcase the garment's waist cut-out tailoring.
The use of props played a huge role in the final photos as well. That giant sunflower at the waist and the floral decorations on the skirt hem are the finishing touches, which not only enrich the colors but also make the overall styling look more vibrant. Placed nearby, the small wooden coffee table, brightly colored juice drinks, and cute little yellow duck ornaments added a touch of daily life atmosphere to the frame. When shooting full-body standing poses, I usually hold the inflatable ring with one hand, turn sideways slightly, and bend and lift the other leg slightly, which can better outline the body curves and showcase the slender feel of the legs.
Throughout the entire shooting process, I paid close attention to the smoothness and flatness of details. The white cross straps on the arms and legs needed to be adjusted to the proper tightness, ensuring they fit the skin without cutting into the flesh while preventing them from loosening when moving. Because this costume has quite a few cut-out and strap elements, when striking poses, I made sure to keep my torso stretched and relaxed, without needing overly large movements, relying on eye contact and natural relaxation of the arms to create a lazy and casual attitude. Every angle and lighting needed repeated confirmation to ensure the final presented frame texture is clean and translucent.
