Holding this highly substantial sci-fi greatsword and standing inside this cool-white industrial base, I felt the exact sort of calmness and focus that the character should possess. Today's set of photos completely restores my mental imagination of this character within the environment of Arknights: Endfield.
The layering of this outfit is highly sophisticated. The outer gray long techwear trench coat features a loose cut that creates an excellent dynamic silhouette when swinging the sword or turning around. The inner white hoodie has black lace-up details at the neckline, coupled with a bright yellow color block accent on the right shoulder, breaking the monotony within the entire cool-toned palette and looking highly iconic.
In terms of props, this greatsword is absolutely a highlight worth mentioning. It's not just a hanger piece; its cool-white leaning toward blue glowing paint texture looks incredibly realistic under environmental reflections. You can feel its weight when gripping it, so when posing for charged stances or horizontal slashes, the body's center of gravity and power exertion points are naturally discovered. The engraved line details on the blade are also highly rich, matching beautifully with this background filled with metal boxes and pipelines.
The lower body's black tights outfit combined with black shorts preserves the character's lightness while carrying a highly recognizable capability. For the footwear, a pair of thick-soled black ankle boots was selected, with silver-gray metallic buckles on the upper, echoing the overall hardcore style from top to bottom. Especially when sitting down and crossing my legs, the black tights paired with the long coat show immense tension in front of the lens, fitting the effortless everyday vibe inside this sci-fi base.
Special thanks this time go to the photographer @Er Niu; we spent quite a lot of thought searching for this industrial-style scene. The studio featured red metal frames and blue cold-light tubes, creating an excellent light-and-shadow contrast when the light source struck down. When shooting sitting postures and close-ups, the photographer utilized the distortion characteristics of the wide-angle lens to stretch the sword's perspective into something highly exaggerated, forging an oppressive sense of the weapon being right before your eyes. We attempted various forms like standing, drawing the sword, sitting, and making gestures, striving to reflect that this character possesses both sharpness during battle and laziness/control during daily rest as part of this Anime-style photography session for this role-playing game.
The texture of the wig is also critical; the dark green tone of the hair combined with the cross hairpins on both sides reveals a hint of rebellion and mystery amidst everyday black hair. The entire makeup leans toward being clean and sharp without excessive embellishments, beautifully highlighting the contours of the facial features.
Inside this room filled with metallic textures and cool-toned rays, wearing this techwear gear feels like truly stepping into the character's daily patrol routine. No intentional trying to look cool is needed; naturally picking up the sword, or simply sitting on the chair quietly gazing into the distance, the character's aura has already dissolved into every single frame of the scene. This set of photos was shot to my heart's content today, serving not only as a tribute to this character but also as a fantastic studio-shooting experience.
