[First Snow cosplay] Arknights Kjerag's Pramanix: Chongqing Snow Scenery Was Incredible

This completed Arknights Pramanix First Snow cosplay photoshoot was arranged directly in the rare heavy snowfall of Chongqing. The moment weather forecasts announced snow, I immediately pulled this costume out for an outdoor excursion because the aura of the Saintess of Kjerag is tailor-made for snowy landscapes. Preparing for this shoot, taming the wig alone took two full days. Silvery-white long locks paired with two thick braided tails frizz easily in the snow; I used generous amounts of setting spray and carefully combed the strands before every single frame to guarantee the most natural drape before the lens.

Garment layering was another core focus. The white turtleneck knit felt warm against the skin, worn beneath a white wide-sleeved tunic and a slit skirt. The wide black leather belt and hip pouch were far more than decoration—they cinched the waistline effectively. The black cape trimmed with blue piping and tassels was the undisputed soul of the ensemble. To capture the cape billowing in the wind, I sprinted back and forth across the snow numerous times. After each dash, the hem tassels collected icy snow clumps, requiring my companion to gently brush them away. As for the sheer Stockings and fur-trimmed black heeled boots on the lower half, they were a genuine physical challenge in sub-zero temperatures. Yet to preserve the character's canonical styling and flatter leg contours, I braved the cold, holding various seated and standing postures in the snow.

For accessories, the beast ears and forehead band contoured my facial profile beautifully. The bell prop in my hand was specially sourced, tied with a blue ribbon that popped vividly against the snow backdrop. For standing poses, I needed to flick the long white silk sash into fluid arcs. At first, I couldn't master the momentum—either flicking it too stiffly or wrapping it around myself. The photographer told me to relax and channel the wind's natural resistance, which instantly improved our dynamic captures. For shots seated on wooden chairs and platforms, we spent extensive time finding the right angle. To clear messy foregrounds while keeping the rime-covered trees sharp in the background, I crossed my legs in Stockings and boots, visually elongating my proportions and anchoring a centered, stable composition.

Ambient light on set was soft, diffuse scattering without harsh direct rays, which proved remarkably flattering for rendering a pale porcelain skin tone. Yet the hardest part of snow shooting was facial expression management. Freezing temperatures and cold gusts quickly numbed facial muscles; to maintain that quiet, aloof composure in my eyes, I massaged my face vigorously between takes to stay alert. In post-processing, we deliberately preserved broad blue-and-white tonal palettes without heavy grading, aiming to retain the crystal-clear translucency that ice and snow bring. Although freezing cold throughout, the resulting quality achieved everything we envisioned. Pairing this winter landscape with this look fulfilled my deep obsession with shooting an outdoor snow set in the south.
