Shooting this Cyberpunk cosplay session atop Chongqing Rooftop 131 was hands down the ultimate test of stamina and nerve. Staged on an open-air observation platform soaring roughly 590 meters high, the styling merged high-risk edge with a futuristic metropolis aesthetic: a black sleeveless tactical crop top, structured black shorts, lug-sole combat boots, and high-tech Light-up goggles tracing neon-blue lines across my face. Beside a standard black sidearm prop, I carried an illuminated neon baton to interact organically with cold ambient night sources.

Once locked into certified high-altitude safety harnesses, lanyards, and locking carabiners, I was anchored onto the cantilevered blue steel platform or suspended mid-air. Stepping out beyond the guardrail with chilly mountain night winds whipping past—looking straight down at the Jialing River and a dense sprawl of skyscrapers—was undeniably terrifying. But as strobes flashed and the photographer dialed in the angles, the weightless euphoria of floating above a sea of neon instantly drowned out the fear.

The technical shoot was intensely demanding. High-altitude Aerial photography against a glittering tapestry of neon billboards and suspension bridges means managing chaotic light spill. Portable strobes cleanly separated facial contours and silhouette lines from the dark background. One-handed rope grip balanced my weight while my core held dynamic postures: leaning backward, extending a leg out over empty air, or dangling both feet off the abyss. Chongqing's night view was breathtaking, with LED facades and glowing bridges reflecting off the river, forging a raw visual collision between Techwear outfit styling and extreme verticality.
