[Anby Demara cosplay] Mirror records of the Techwear outfit girl in Zenless Zone Zero

These Zenless Zone Zero Anby Demara cosplay Convention photos exhibit an exceptionally strong techwear vibe under dim lighting. Partnering with photographers Jayden and Lao Zhai for this shoot, the main goal was to recreate the silver-haired girl's cool, tough aura and mechanical techwear style in the convention setting.

Regarding the costume, the color contrast of neon green and black is the core of the entire look in this Techwear outfit. The surface PVC material actually catches light remarkably well; with just a slight shift in light angle, it casts a highlight with a crisp, cool texture. The off-shoulder and midriff-baring structure of the top is quite demanding on one's figure, but for a character like Anby, this cut instead accentuates a clean, capable combat readiness. The inner layer is a black cropped hooded sweatshirt, while the outer glossy vest features circular black cutouts, perfectly aligning with the character's cyberpunk tech aesthetics. The disc ornaments on both sides and black tactical straps also make the overall silhouette look fuller.

For the wig, I selected short silver-white hair (Silver-white hair cosplay) this time, deliberately keeping layered and slightly fluffy textured strands during trimming, with the bangs resting just above the eyes. For makeup, to align with the character's traits, I deepened the black eyeliner, paired with custom amber-yellow colored contacts to give the gaze Anby's characteristic calm, slightly distant demeanor. The fingerless tactical gloves and black over-ear headphones are also indispensable elements; in particular, the headphones resting right on both sides of the short hair provide a great visual framing effect, making the face appear more compact.

The shooting location was in the corner of an indoor exhibition hall where ambient lighting was relatively dim, surrounded by passing crowds and stray lights. However, it was precisely this large black background that made the reflective highlights of the neon green stand out brilliantly. Photographers Jayden and Lao Zhai were masterfully adept at controlling the lighting on site, mainly utilizing a powerful single light source paired with reflectors to carve out sharp facial contours while flawlessly showcasing the gloss of the PVC material. During shooting intervals, we refixed the disc props on the arm sleeves several times, as these detached sleeves tend to curl during large movements; repeatedly adjusting them ensured that the metallic-textured structures stayed aligned without skewing in the frame.

The posing for these photos mainly aimed to capture the character's sense of composure. For example, pulling the collar with one hand highlights the open waistline and overall techwear lines; the sideways glance-back posture leverages tension in the shoulders and hands, making the character appear poised for combat while carrying a hint of confusion and frankness. Doing high-speed continuous shooting in low light severely tests camera capabilities as well as the photographers' snapping prowess. Both photographers were remarkably patient; several times when I was adjusting my gaze or angle, they swiftly captured the most natural split seconds.

In fact, while walking around the exhibition, many passersby recognized the outfit and called out Anby's name; this recognition stemming from the work itself felt like a wonderful affirmation of my entire cosplayer journey. Although the convention floor was bustling and noisy, standing before the camera geared up in this outfit allowed me to find a character-specific focus within the light and shadow. The collaboration between styling and photography was extremely tacit, and I personally really love this resulting set of green techwear photos set against a dark backdrop.
