Choosing to do my cosplay photoshoot at Miyou Miaomiaowu this time was truly a hassle-free, all-inclusive experience. Previously, the biggest headache every time I cosplayed was having to find locations, costumes, and makeup artists separately, but here everything is bundled together. The owner, a graduate of Tongji University's Architecture Department, personally designed the sets with great attention to detail. From traditional ancient style to cyberpunk, every corner is meticulously crafted, so you don't have to stress about finding angles during the shoot—the backgrounds inherently provide a rich atmosphere. In terms of costumes, the variety is quite complete, featuring miHoYo characters and other popular IPs. Furthermore, they are sanitized and cleaned after every single use. The wigs are also specially styled by professional wig stylists; they felt smooth the moment I put them on, saving me from having to style them myself. The in-store makeup artist was quick and skillful, helping me put on the wig and colored contact lenses, and adjusted the makeup according to the character. The photography guidance for posing was very patient; even a posing-challenged person like me could quickly get into character. The final retouching was also handled by them, making the entire process from shooting to delivering images highly efficient. Throughout the entire workflow, there was no need to haul equipment or manage costumes myself—you just need to show up. There were so many scenes that I chose three different styles to shoot, and every set turned out just the way I wanted. For friends who want a proper cosplay photoshoot but hate the hassle, this kind of Selfie studio with a dress-up experience is incredibly practical. I tried several different characters this time, and all of them were highly photogenic. Next time, I plan to challenge more complex scenes.
